Have you thought about tuning the AFR alongside the TPS trick to compensate for over fueling? Would probably increase HP even more.

I have a 93 sc4 with a high idel problem just started yesterday when cold it's around 1500 when it warms up it goes to 1000 just last week I replaced the IAC valve, looks like a simple mod you have though nice

Have you changed the MAF? The MAF has a temp sensor in it and if it's bad this could be a symtom of a bad MAF

My maf didn’t work when I finished wiring my SC. My solution was to leave it unplugged. I thought the extra bit of power was a placebo effect. Thanks for confirming

Have you ever adjusted the earlier TPS on the UZ1? I have a 1992 and I can tell it's running rich just by the smell. Would like to lean it out. It has two TPS on it, though, instead of 1. You ever messed with these?

Pretty positive the Soarer 4.0GT's make the same power as the US models. No UZ engine came in stock form with 380hp. Im also curious how this effects your AFR's ive messed with my TPS a little, replaced it with a updated part number and came to the conclusion that the ecu will divert back to factory setting. Best way to make power is to go standalone, toyota ECU's are a pita.

You have to remember back at the time when they were making these cars from Japan United States of America and Japan had an agreement it's called The Gentlemen's Agreement that all cars coming from Japan had to match the same horsepower rating as the one in the United States but what Japan did not tell us is that these cars came with more horsepower than what the brochure stated

@@KeenanOKelley check your fans even though they turn on they might not be pulling enough like they used to worn out etc also check your coolant make sure there’s no air bubbles in the cooling system & check the radiator fins if they aren’t blocked painted over anything to block air flow.

The 1uzfe already runs rich. Leaning off gives power air fuel ratio on n/a needs to be leaned off to produce more power and efficiency. If you getting an increase by doing this you’ve got an issue. All ls400 Have a sooty pipe cos there all rich from factory. I know because I use a piggy back ecu and leaning off give more power. You only need to add fuel what charging. I have done many runs with a wide band data logger and taken data from exhaust. But any changes made are temporary cos the ecu will revert back to base map. This is the reason you can’t remap the Lexus/1uz ecus their proprietary data is irrevocably over written and hard coded.

Mine has done the tic for the couple years I've had yhe car. Same with a weird grinding noise somewhere in left bank but nothing has broken and I've not found a reason for that. Tic most likely comes from cylinder 7 valves as it's common for them to dry out and get worn. However even if valve lash was correct, these engines do make a lot of mechanical sounds as they run so wouldn't worry too much. Mine has 134k miles

Because they all came with positraction differential they did not come with limited slip the only way you can get both tires firing up is if you weld the differential more get a Toyota Supra differential

Yo Boss, I have a sc400 I believe to be stuck in Limp mode. When I press the gas, it hardly revs past 2k and I had to drive it home going 5 mph. It could be one of 3 MAF, FUEL PUMP OR FUEL PUMP ECU. you can start by bypass the fuel pump ecu and if you have never replaced the pump I would recommend doing so

So you're going to need to upgrade the intake and your exhaust system you can start off with 2 and 1/2 inch for the dual exhaust system or you can go full full 3 inch exhaust with the x pipe and you'll be on your way to a really good horsepower and possibly the car be ready for a procharger
