Straight Razors Scare Me!

way too much of a wimp to use a straight razor and no shame in admitting it. i'll stick with my safety razors til the day i die. ive seen way too many gruesome accidents from shaving PROS using straight razors. ultimately, i personally would be way too nervous using one, to the point where it wouldn't even be enjoyable anymore. and lets face it, enjoyability is the ENTIRE reason i shave with a safety razor to begin with. For sure! I have dabbled a bit with a shavette and now this one. I like this more than the shavette but there's a level of fear and excitement that I am not 100% sold on yet. Thanks for sharing

way too many gruesome accidents? I have been straight razor shaving for 10 years, it only gets better and it has been over 100 shaves since my last nick. Only 1 cut in 10 years, nothing gruesome about it though. It is a learned skill.

I'm no pro at either, but my experience has been that shavettes with half DE blade are way harder to tame than an actual straight razor.

When it comes to shavettes I think I prefer the DE blades better than the Artist club ones. But I do like the feather supers in my CJB KAMASORI. Might use it today
