I think the less restrictions wives impose on husbands, the more truthful and open their husbands will be to them in general. There are always exceptions on restrictions if things go beyond limit. He's dead wrong on the chivalry thing. If a guy is chivalrous at the start of the relationship and then stops, is because the girl is taking it for granted. If you stop thanking him for opening doors for you, he's not going to keep doors open. Also, women cry out for gender equality. The whole concept of chivalry was founded on the idea that women were frail, helpless creatures that needed our constant protection. So basically chivalry reinforces classic gender roles. Equality = No chivalry.

I don't need my parent's approval but I know my mom's always right and if it had to come down to choosing you or my parents, I would always choose them. Sorry. However I'm not talking about going against my beliefs if I think something is wrong because I would be the first to comment and laugh. Now the difficult part starts when it comes between your mom and your kids and the type of upbringing you wish to give them (we all would love to do something different with our own kids and the fact that 'they're my kids so I can do what I want' doesn't always work because then you can't expect your parents to help you then). However I don't think that would ever come up because my parents live their own lives, I have a massive family and they don't really give a damn. Now if my parents were useless and mean things would be very different and I wouldn't post this. (BTW I'm a guy).
