Fr Mark Goring, thank you for this. We are eternally grateful to God for sending you into our lives. What you just explained and prayed with us came in God’s perfect timing. The last couple days of my beloved Kevin’s life on earth brought us so many blessings, and this prayer helped us before and after his death on Thursday 30 Sep 2021. Before my beloved husband’s body was taken from our home, we prayed this prayer for him and ourselves, and with a precious Live Oak Texas police officer/nurse, waiting with us and comforting us. I am sharing for the glory and praise to our Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit, our Triune God. May God bless all, and may our beloved Kevin, Rest In Peace. Amen, and truly, Viva Cristo Rey. I just got the Pieta prayer book about a week ago, and it has blown my mind all of the beautiful prayers and devotions in that book! I'm on the chaplet of St. Michael right now, and it's pretty phenomenal the graces attached to that chaplet - "Whoever would practice this devotion in his honour would have, when approaching the Holy Table, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations, he promised his continual assistance and that all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from Purgatory for themselves and all their relations."

A father who loves his child will not put him through torture(PURGATORY) in order to let him back into his house! Those who believe in the love of their Heavenly Father through the gift of his son on the cross, are those who have the faith that saves. (1 John 4:18)There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. This story of purgatory is a false doctrine trying to make it seem like we have to earn our salvation. The repentant thief on the cross is a good example, Jesus did not tell him that he had to go through purgatory before entering paradise! (Luke 23:43). Shalom in Christ

@@kentd4762 Amen! Purgatory is to purify ones soul to go to Heaven. I feel like I am in Purgatory some days lately. But, what do I know not much! I just love Jesus and Mother Mary! Who have done so much for me and have gotten me through so many terrible things that most could not get through. Thank you Jesus and Mother Mary! Queen Mother Mary! Ave Maria was played at my grandma's funeral that is all I remember as we were devastated. I also remember kneeling and taking communion by mouth as I had not taken my Holy Confirmation which was the Easter after her death.

i've been saying this prayer daily for some 7 years ,its in the Pieta prayer book. In spanish Padre Eterno, yo te ofrezco el Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, con todo Su amor, todos sus sufrimientos, y todos Sus meritos. Primero- Para espiar todos los pecados que he cometido este dia y durante de toda mi vida, ¡Gloria...... segundo Para purificar el bien que hecho mal este dia y durante de toda mi vida. Gloria......Tercero- Para suplir por el bien que debia de hacer hecho y k omitido este dia y durante de toda mi vida Gloria........

I used to say this prayer. Then with so many prayers and novenas I’m praying, I put this prayer aside. Lord Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner. Tonight I’ll start this prayer again and never neglect to pray it. 🙏🏼

My mom had me saying this prayer for years. She is in Heaven now.
