Krista doesn’t ‘WIP’ stand for ‘Work in Progress’? Didn’t realise there should be a timeline - who does that? The only rule is it becomes a ‘FO’ (Finished Object). I feel people do Crochet to relax or enjoy as a hobby. If we put strict rules onto everything it becomes a chore. DON’T DO IT! Krista, what you have been doing so far has made your channel the size it is. Why change? Your Channel, your choice/rules.

I agree that crochet is supposed to be relaxing, not a chore. But there are many times when WIPs don't become FOs and there's no crochet police so no rules about that either! Sometimes they become UFOs, or go off to the frogpond. It's all good.

Happy to see your WIPs. Some how it makes more sense with a large family that you don't just get to sit down to complete a project or video without a lot of interference. We have a large family also and things do tend to get pretty crazy sometimes! My summer goal is to get at least one blanket for each person in the house and completely fill my ottoman with shawls and wraps by September. Currently there are 8 people: 3 adults 3 teens and 2 toddlers to make blankets for, but I'm making all the blankets large. Currently finishing up my spring goals though of brightening up my living room

Crista I just love that you have a lot of WIPS on the go, so do I and I refuse to feel guilty about it lol... I believe it's the sign of a creative artistic mind (not that those who prefer working on one project at a time are not creatively artistic!). I adore the variety that having a lot of WIPS brings, different colours and types of yarn different hook sizes which help to stave off hand fatigue, big wips, small wips, I love it all. I "squirrel" with my crochet all the time, jumping from one wip to another... I'm never bored! Eventually they all get done and sometimes I get bunches of them finished in the same week and people on my crochet groups think I'm a crocheting machine hahaha... nah, I just plug away and enjoy the various croject journey's I'm on. I often watch my fave crochet podcasters (you are definitely one of those) while I'm happily hooking away. Love your work and your unboxings are very very helpful to me. My Ice Yarns cart is overflowing hahaha!

Keep doing your WIPS . This summer I would like to get my sewing and crocheting stuff organized . I live in a small 2-storey house and storage is tight . My niece wants me to make her a ripple afghan , but I don't like the up and down the whole way across for a king size afghan . I was thinking of doing 1 set of a ripple and going around like a mile-minute afghan . Have a great week !!!

Loved this video. Feels like you are sitting in my living room. You are. Clear and explicit in all your explanations. I love it.!!!! My goal for this summer is to crochet a bedspread in granny squares that I already started slowly and had to hold for a while because of some situationwith breathing and chest pains due to a heart condition. After a surgical procedure in March I have started to feel better and now I can re-start my project. In the meantime I have been crochetting small items and a beautiful dress for my soon to be 2 years old great-granddaughter. Thank you for your wonderful personality. Makes me feel young again.

Hi Christa. Do what you choose! I enjoy seeing your WIPs and, of course, FOs. It's interesting to see color combos or stitches I might not have considered. Only do tutorials if and when you choose. I am learning (at my fossil age) that many people seem to feel entitled to demand what they want. Whereas I feel grateful for you generously sharing your time, talent and knowledge. No timetables for anything or it will become a chore rather than pleasure. Only sale I'm aware of in my area, SE Wisconsin, is Hobby Lobby. This week crochet threads and floss are 30% off, next week yarn will be on sale 30% off. They have been running these sales alternating weeks for quite a while now. I'm about 3/4 finished knitting a summer top. And have started and ripped out crocheted top numerous times! Trying to work in #10 thread and keep overestimating size! Those are my only real goals. I always have a pair of socks in the works for when I watch dvds. I thoroughly enjoy your videos, that's why I keep coming back. Thanks for brightening my day and being lovely company. 💖
