Currently working with the Ice Yarns Lorena to make a flowy open work kimono to wear for Easter. I love this yarn! It glides over the hood and works up fast! I am official an Ice Yarns junkie! I had to order another pack of the color I am using so I have that on order and several packs of the Magic Glitz to make shawls for the holidays. My daughters just keep saying "MORE YARN?!" I just say YES!

I knit more than crochet but lately I have hooked more than knitted. Because of you I have had the confidence to teach people at work how to crochet granny squares. I love natural yarns, current favorite Natural Garden/ICE but I love wools also. ICE has so many blends I have never tried so my world and favorites have been enriched and challenged. My order of Natural Garden arrived Monday(2 days ago). The Shipping bag was torn and mangled. To my horror the light blue was poking out and the bag containing it was torn. Two skeins had been dragged across the floors of several trucks and were no longer light blue. First I vacuumed what was loose and then used Dawn dishwashing liquid and cool water. I had to wash and rinse a few times but dirt/grease came out. I was astonished, the yarn held up beautifully and dried so quickly. I think I got it all out. The color is good again. This is amazing fiber, I felt that the quicker I tried to get the dirt/damage out the better the chance I had at saving it. It worked, it is a miracle. The fiber itself hadn't caught on anything or been damaged. So thankful. I want to wear it. So am hoping/searching for a pattern for a summer top of some sort. Love it. Kenya looks wonderful, was surprised when the video stopped. No safari? Keep us coming back? Would anyway. Beautiful distraction to my dreary spring, still cold here in Minnesota. Am seeing more sun and the snow is just about gone. Things are going in the right direction.

Cotton is my favorite followed by acrylic, alpaca acrylic blend, merino blend. I learned to crochet in high school but limited. When my youngest was born I taught myself to knit and that is limited . I really like crochet because it works up faster. Hook then needle.

OMG SERIOUSLY! Ummmm I’m in love with all yarn, I just started crocheting about 18 months ago to help take up time in the evening since the divorce. So now I am a true overly obsessed yarn crazed hooker! Bamboo and cottons are my fav for summer and lighter wearables but also love ribbon and tape yarns oh heck I just love it all! I have ordered from paint box which is amazing and ice yarns as you know 😍. I don’t believe I have met a ball, skein, yank or any other form of yarn I didn’t love. My favorite yarn is mercerized cotton and cotton blends - particularly blended with bamboo like Bamboo Pop which i LOVE. (I'm allergic to wool and other animal fibers.) Favorite acrylic is RH Unforgettable for the softness and colorways but love Caron Simply Soft as an affordable easy to obtain acrylic. I am a HOOKER. I know how to knit but do not find it enjoyable or relaxing. Really love Tunisian crochet!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the safari!

Recently I have fallen in love with baby suri alpaca yarn. I was looking for a substitute for mohair, because I generally find mohair a bit itchy, and I stumbled upon this blend of baby suri alpaca and silk which is wonderful and soft. I'm holding it double with some scrap fingering yarns in a bits and bobs blanket right now and it's so soft with a lovely halo. Take care :)
