This is my regular method of straightening my hair. Here in China, it is difficult to find people that can care for my hair, so i do it myself. By the way, this method has made my hair and the hair of my two daughters very long. Infact, Chinese people usually stare at us and wonder what ropes we have on our hair 🤣🤣🤣

It's amazing to see us going back to our roots. My mom used to stretch our hair like this but with the hard African thread. When we moved to America, we switched to more western methods and our hair got damaged.

Im South African, and this hairstyle is not common, we do use wool for hairstyles and all but not in that specific manner , but I love the hairstyle. It's a game changer, knowing I don't have to use heat all the time I have to stretch my hair. Thanks siis

Ms Adanna, I'm glad you didn't take the tread out too quick. For me, this is a style because I. Don't wear any kind of outs (braid out, twist out, hair out period) I wear a head scarf so my hair is always clean, neat and pinned up) I haven't tried threading and would love to however, I just don't want to do it myself. Anyway, TFS! You did great.

Lovely video! However, yarn is very damaging to your hair. If you are going to do this in order to avoid damage consider using silk yarn. Yes, expensive but silk will not soak up moisture and damage your hair. Also, oil does not seal in moisture. But, I did enjoy watching this process and will try it.
