George Yeo, as we all know, is and can be a great leader with a great mind and understanding of the world. It was emotional seeing him talked about not taking up the position as the president, due to the fact that he was forsaken by those he chose to believe in. A clear answer of "I am not happy" sums it all up. (Why would I be of your service if you don't cherish and respect what I am doing.) Hope Mr. Yeo continues to be vocal in his thoughts for many years to come if all is well. Thank you.

The democratic process is great but comes at a cost of having people like George removed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Only in the critical turmoil where we are in current geopolitics do we start asking him questions. We need to reflect and reconsider our voting decisions looking forward - we can't vote just for members skilled only in domestic issues, we need people who can see the bigger picture.

IMO, all these visits by American Congress legislators showed that US has the malicious intention to surrepetiously shift its "one China policy" to "one China, one Taiwan policy". In other words, US is trying to create an "illusion of truth" to the international community that Taiwan is not part of China. Thus, I think it is only right and lawful that China has to give a strong response (by whatever manner or forms deemed necessary) to show to the international community that nobody can change the very fact that Taiwan is an integral part of China and thus, China has the sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the wholeTaiwan Strait region. Both sides of the Taiwan Strait is one family (两岸一家亲) = 一中 The current "one China" status quo across the Taiwan Strait must remain unchanged .... it must not be changed unilaterally.
