Join bestselling author Matt Haig for the launch of his new book The Midnight Library. Matt is in conversation with fellow novelist and bestselling author Kristin Hannah.
A dazzling novel about all the choices that go into a life well lived, from the internationally bestselling author of Reasons to Stay Alive and How To Stop Time. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to a library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Matt Haig's enchanting new novel, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision. Faced with the possibility of changing her life for a new one, following a different career, undoing old breakups, realizing her dreams of becoming a glaciologist; she must search within herself as she travels through the Midnight Library to decide what is truly fulfilling in life, and what makes it worth living in the first place.
Matt Haig is the author of the internationally bestselling memoir Reasons to Stay Alive, along with five novels, including How to Stop Time, and several award-winning children’s books. His work has been translated into more than forty languages.
Kristin Hannah is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than twenty novels, including The Nightingale and The Great Alone. A former lawyer turned writer, she lives with her husband in the Pacific Northwest.

Such a great book which I thoroughly enjoyed. A commentary on self realization and stillness in the now. The broken parts of our misunderstood perception of regret that leads to tomorrow is a sleeping lesson inside each of us.

i’m about to finish it tonight and i DO NOT want to!! the fact it mixed in philosophy, depression, and quantum mechanics! it feels like no other book will be such a perfect mix of the things i’m into 🥺

This interview was very insightful. I have read the work and was disappointed with many aspects of it. Listening to Haig speak clarified many of my decisions regarding my reluctance to totally embrace this effort by the author. The book is definitely one to move on to a cinematic platform.

I’ve just finished this book, I was reading and wondering what is the true meaning of the library, what is the value of its existence, I started to read it by recommendation of a friend of mine, after discussing about if I would rather live in another life with more possibilities, would I be happier? After I read this book I think, don’t leave yourself regrets, go experience as much as you can and try harder for what you what. No matter what, this book did cheer me up! I hope I can also reach the imagination of my own happiness, with my best efforts ✨

Matt Haig will obviously be a very successful children's "author". Smooth...essentially seamless...transition for him.

I've just been marinating in those feelings, after finishing this book. It's an incredible novel, especially for those of us who are "stuck" in their 30s. It's the 2nd novel which depicts Thoreau as a major inspiration (for me the 1st was Rules of Civility by Amor Towles) that I have read, and despite it being a major pain, I might have to read Thoreau. This book broke me the way Zia Haider Raman or Pankaj Mishra did. Great book, prepare to get fucked up a bit.

I can’t find any of his audiobooks read by a human on KZbin and AI does not do them justice. Does anybody know how I can listen to his books for free? I was disabled by violence.

No intelligent person can handle reading his books in their entirety unless they're paid large sums of money. That's why you can only find AI narrators. Skip this book and read something that will actually grow your mind and enlighten your thinking.
