Did we get stranded in the woods without the dogs? Yeah, we sure did! So today we played with the dogs and decided to go out to lunch and for an e-bike ride. Did we get stranded. . . well. . watch and see what happened!

If you haven't been back to the trail yet to try to clear it, you might consider contacting your local Boy/Girl Scout Troops. I know Troops in my area are always looking for service projects, and clearing the trail might be something they could do. Might even be an Eagle Scout project for an older Boy Scout. It makes me so happy to see Memphis join into their play and the Tippy Tappys! I got a bruise on my nail and it looks terrible I had to paint my nails. I am going to have it even for the first week of school. 😢 I am from North Carolina and since I am about to leave Michigan tomorrow I should try a conny dog! Eleanor is the neighborhood pest 😆 Hubby &I were in Michigan last week on vacation. We went to Downtown Scoops, a Meijers (don't have them in NJ), Mackinaw City and took the ferry to the Island. I stood under the bridge with my feet in Lake Huron & Lake Michigan at the same time. The water is so clean & clear. Michigan is truly a beautiful state! Thanks Jess for the travel tips!

To me onion rings are different from raw onions. I prefer that too. Chili dogs and chili cheese fries are a yum for me. When I lived in California I had Pinks Tail of the pup and Weiner factory. They are not an earthquake fault line. They are cracks from the edge of a sinkhole. The earth is slowly sinking and pulling down. There is a big sinkhole in the water out there.

One of the best tasting mushrooms ever is bright yellow, the chanterelle. Those orange mushrooms looks like golden waxcaps. They're edible, but there's not much on them once cooked.

Jess, I totally have your back with food choices. I remember your none banana eating but banana bread is acceptable. I also stand behind no onion but will accept onion rings. Tbh, a moderate self punch was probably better than getting stung by a wasp, especially since it might have "sounded the alarm" for other wasps to attack you ! I've never heard of a Coney dog, I don't believe, but if I had come across the name, I just would have assumed they would only existed at some Coney Island boardwalk stall/restaurant, maybe a regional chain of restaurants, kinda like Seattle's Totem House Fish & Chips (believe its been renamed by new owners, same food though) or Ivar's Fish Bar. It just looks like a chilly dog with mustard & onions on it. What is "Coney sauce" made of & what does it taste like? The "crack in the earth" reminds me a lot of the Minecraft canyons. Don't lose your buddy in the woods there, in case one of you fall into the cracks.

In Atlanta, we have the Varsity and the Varsity Jr where you get chili dogs With chili and onions and other things. You don't have extra batterys for your E-bikes and scooter? Glad you made it home safely.

Chili dogs are different then coney's . Coney sauce is not "chili" It's different. And not, those batteries are $500 each and SUPER heavy. You wouldn't not want to drag around another one. We were only about 1.5 miles from home, we would have made it had we not gone fast to get home. heheh

Michigan has Coney Island dog recipes that are unique to their region, but Coney Island dogs are all over the Midwest. Each region has it’s own recipe that immigrants created as they settled throughout the Midwest in early 20th century after traveling through Coney Island, NY.
