There is so much valuable information in this video, practical details that are not spelled out in knitting patterns.

Thank you again, Suzanne❣️ I am in 2 of your classes right now and am doing a flat fair isle for the first time on the ITAG Set In Sleeve. I have studied many, many techniques for this method and yours is by far the best. I have made many items with fair isle in the round, but found doing it flat much more complicated. You are the best teacher out there. I am a big picture person so settling down to your level of detail was daunting for several weeks. But I finally have swung over to your side. I am also a visual learner so your videos are especially well done for those of us who find it much easier than figuring it out from a book. I did teach myself to knit from books way back when there was no Internet/KZbin solution, but I never did anything more complex than cables. I spend hours watching videos snd have come a long way from where I used to be. It is so much fun, thanks to the tireless efforts of so many wonderful knitters willing to publish these techniques. Thank you so much❣️❣️❣️

Thank you. I am so glad that this works for you. Once you get stranded worked flat, it is really not any more difficult than working in the round. Happy knitting.

Wow! There was a lot to digest in this combined RS / WS video, and it helped me to follow the project path better. I counted 6 different techniques to master! I would have like to have seen the short row technique included in this video as well to get the full picture, but acknowledge that would be a lot to grasp. Working stranded color work flat ain't for sissies! I've saved this video to my knitting library and will refer to it often. Thank you !

this is the most convoluted explanation I have ever seen of colorwork and float trapping. Went over to Very Pink and got much clearer instructions.

I wish I knew which Pink video you found. I like to watch several but I can waste day(s) trying to find the method and teacher I can understand. Much of this I get but I am confused on some of it.

The turning tip will be so helpful. I think my biggest tangling problems have been the result of mindless turning. Starting a new project tomorrow and I can’t wait to try it.

This is very interesting! The way I had learned to fix the edges was to always work the salvage stitch with both colours.

Hello, thanks for this video. I am currently working on your colorwork scarf tutorial and am new to stranded knitting. I find it a little difficult to compare the chart given in the video and the chart in the tutorial because in this video, the symbols for catching/trapping/concealing are not present. Can you supply a version of the video chart that contains the same symbols as the tutorial? It would help a lot. Thanks. Stephanie

Unfortunately, to do that, I would need to make a whole new video. I am sorry for the confusion.

Hello! Thank you again for such lovely tutorials. I'm currently making the Alpacacino by Maxim Cyr and I've not quite understood when I should twist the two yarns one st before where it will be used as opposed to doing the wrap and turn with it. Is there a reason you have done the wrap and turn on the ends in some cases rather than doing the twist on the edging? Would the twist at the edge work for me since I'm not at the border (aka there are quite a few sts between the intarsia and the edge of the sweater)? Thank you!

Looking for a tutorial on how to make little pull balls instead of bobbins. Can anyone suggest a video? I think Suzanne might have one but I haven’t found it.
@SuzanneBryan
@SuzanneBryan 5 жыл бұрын
I don't have a video on making butterflies or bobbins, as I do not use them. I allow the lengths of yarn to just lay and I pull them through every couple of rows. I found that no matter which technique I tried the yarn strands always tangle together. So, I skip making balls and just knit. Happy knitting.

This is all VERY confusing as Suzanne keeps getting her left & right muddled! At 2.50 she says she’s going to hold A Dark, dominant colour in her RH (but she actually has it in her LH & vice versa, that she has B Light Colour in her LH ( when she has it in her RH)?!?! Then at 3.05 she does say A (Dark dominant colour) is in her LH & she also says Col B is in her LH. At another point in the video she makes the same error. I know from other videos that the dominant colour is always in the LH.

What would be most helpful is to have time stamps for the different kinds of catches. I have to watch wayyyy to much over and over looking for the one I need. Lots of good info, I’m just overwhelmed with so many examples and no time stamps.
