When I lived in Florida back in the '70s, you could get all sorts of knives and medieval weapons at flea markets. Most wound up as wall decorations. You could get all sorts of bizarre and specialized knives, folding and otherwise. I suspect this hasn't changed.

Idk if you like Renaissance Faires but there's one up in Maryland the first weekend of October. I love thrift shopping I've collected so many odd figures, snow globes, salt and pepper shakers, and a small collection of dolls that i have a whole bookshelf filled with them. one globe has been in my collection for 5 years of family and i have a doll I've owned personally going on 23 years

The statues of Saint Jude there , those are flames on there head . The flames represent how strong and brite his aura is. It's the representation of the eye the aura. Saint Jude had a powerful aura . That's why all Saints and angels in paintings have that bright halo around there heads . It's the glow of the aura .

P.S. my son had that snake hill thing and creepy crawler kit too . I still have alot of his toys , he is 19 now and I use most of his toys for my grandkids now. My twin 2 year old granddaughters live playing with Thomas the Train collection the best. And I collect PRECIOUS MOMENTS. I own about 250 .. Lucky me..

The Head Shrinker Kit used a sort of gelatin mix that when dried looked like human skin and shrunk like a Shrinky Dink in open air.

My suggestion for the Planet of the Apes bowl was to keep your keys in it, but I think your idea for the pressed pennies is even better. That old fashioned phone is called a candlestick, and I think it was a bicentennial thing. I know I saw one when I was a kid, but I don't remember where.

I had the creepy crawler maker as a kid! I had a blast with that thing!! I was the girl with all the weird stuff. I didn’t like dolls. I liked the science-y weird off-the-wall stuff. The problem with the creepy crawler was the blocks would never completely remelt into their block shape once they became a creature. They were supposed to be able to melt back into their original block and you could use it over and over. But usually, once was all you would get out of it. But, I still loved it.

Hey Jacob, from my Catholic upbringing that red bump on the religious statues heads represent the Holy Spirit flame from the day of Pentecost. That St. Jude is not Judas but the St Jude who is the patron saint of the Children’s Hospital.

16:55 I would’ve HAD to take that home🤣🤣 That’s an original 1960’s Thingmaker/Creepy Crawlers set. They were banned for a while because of the toxic fumes the machine would let off. But they did make a huge comeback in the 90s, which is around the time most people remember them from. Pretty sweet! The patriotic telephone was part of the Bell Telephone line of novelty phones from the 70's, as was the Mickey Mouse. The Tombstone was Hilarious! I have to think someone intended to use it per thier loved ones last wishes, but wasn't allowed. I finally bought a can of boiled peanuts and tried them. Bit mushy for my taste. That was not the Robbie the Robot from forbidden Planet or the B9 Robot from Lost in Space, It looks like a home made robot.
