The state in which these cemeteries are found testifies to the lack of vision regarding the conservation of the space as true museums full of works of open-air tomb art. When they left this life, these people left a true legacy for posterity in works of art of extreme realism and beauty. Unfortunately, there is a lack of people who recognize the artistic and historical value of this heritage and decide to promote its restoration and maintenance. Once restored, these areas could be accessed upon payment of a fee that would be used for their conservation. It's pitiful!

This cemetery is old and pretty much full. I think most people in there are really old. And probably had some good money to afford that. If I'm not mistaken there's even a reproduction of the main church from Milan in there as a family chapel. Source? I live in this city and have visited this cemetery before as it quite literally is a work of art.

KZbin recommended this video to me and I just gotta say, he may have been having an episode of some kind. Demonizing mental illness is incredibly dangerous and just breeds misinformation. I got interested at an early age in cemetaries when my High School history teacher took us on an outing to an historic site in Mobile Alabama. It had graves in it from all 5 nations that held claim on alabama, from the 1600's on. Our class was to make a charcoal rubbing of a slab tomb and then write a story about that person (pre google era). If we were lucky, the occupation was on there. Then Egyptian funeral practices caught me, then prehistoric discoveries in Britain got me and now funeral art as in your channel and even some gravestone carvers through the years are getting me interested! And as you stated, the sculptors talent is amazing in some of those sculptures! And the money they (deceased) had to afford those!

You can get a couple hot/spicy peppers, they dry them until they are the point where they crumble. Then add water and put in a small spray bottle. I don't know what your self defense laws are over there, but here my daughter and I both have keychains with MACE and small but very sharp survival knives. They are smaller than my fingers and legal here. Pennsylvania USA.

(and I’m talking about just one of those sculptures!)
