Dr.Strange actually never lied to Stark when he said, that he if he had to chose between Tony's life or the protecting the time stone, he'd protect the stone. Strange saw the only outcome that won against Thanos. He knew Tony was ultimately going to be the sacrificial lamb at the end. He wasn't protecting Stark, he was sacrificing him for a later time.

The fear and tension Strange must be feeling here has got to be immense. Any little fuck up, any slight mistake and it's over. He has to exactly follow a script he has seen to the minute detail. Initially, his movements are slow and hesitant as he knows he has to pin point the exact second of when to give it up otherwise Thanos will leave too early or too late and that future will be altered slightly meaning they lose. The pressure of that must be crazy. And then as the stone flies to Thanos, the expression on Strange's face is one of cautious optimism and intense concentration around 1:42. He is holding his breath in these moments because he is seeing what needs to happen.

He hid the stone as a Star. That wizard is full of tricks. And When I saw Strange give the time stone in Infinity War on fan opening night, I was one of the few in the entire theater who gasped and said “no” while the other people stayed quiet in confusion... The only reason why the time stone seems more powerful is cause Strange incorporates mystic art magic with the time stones power.

Mind Stone can do tricky things like controlling your mind, but not as tricky as the Reality Stone which can shape and mold anything, creating worlds or different realities, control reality (the ground you stand on) which can be deadly (make ground into ocean) than controlling a mind (you are alive but if you cannot stand, nor breathe nor see, you dead) . Space can transport anywhere. Power manipulates energy and unnaturally powerful strength. Soul controls the soul. But TIME... TIME is the most precious in my opinion. Literal time control and travel. If you decide to attack me with one of the stones, I can reverse ANY attack and effect (as long as I am quick to react) Nothing can stop time. I can make you old in a second, I can trap you in a loop like strange did. I can travel to stop you from being born. I can see your future attacks or intentions and literal future. I can freeze you forever. Time is that powerful to me ...that is why when Strange gave the time stone, I knew it was over for the heroes, nothing they do after mattered anymore... Thanos won since they had time on his side... so when audiences yelled in amazement and said "no way" when he revived Vision, I was like "yeah, I saw that coming, nothing matters since he can reverse time and avoid ANY mistakes or actions" Thanos won because he had time, that is why he walks so confidently to get the mind stone, taking hit after hit from all heroes like nothing.

You know with all the futures that Strange saw, I'm sure he saw what would happen to Vision and how it would effect Wanda. Essentially making him the arbiter of Vision's demise. I wonder if this will be a point of contention between the two characters in the Multiverse of Madness.

After watching end game I now gets Dr. Strange. I always think why dr. Strange never use the stone? In end game well because he seen the future, He saw Tony would save them all, Hes the one. So when Thanos will kill stark, Strange gave the stone rather than what he said abour stone or stark

Strange himself may have seen millions of futures, but from that point on there are only two more that can safely be extrapolated on. Firstly, there must have been a timeline in which Strange told Tony Stark that he would need to sacrifice himself to defeat Thanos. Unfortunately, in that timeline, the foreknowledge weighed heavily upon Tony. Perhaps he took a moment to say goodbye to Pepper, or perhaps he lost his nerve for just a second. Whatever the case may be, Strange learned that telling Tony was a surefire way to ensure Thanos won, and as a result when asked he refused to give a clear response. In contrast, though, there must also have been another timeline in which Strange didn't raise his finger to signify to Tony that the time had come for their 1 in 14,000,605 shot. Presumably that led Tony to second-guess himself for a moment - inadvertently giving Thanos the chance to snap his fingers. In truth, Doctor Strange's visions are a convenient narrative device. They give Marvel an easy response to any questions. Why didn't the Avengers try any other given tactic, or attempt to defeat Thanos using a different approach? Marvel's simple answer is that, if there were any other way, Doctor Strange would have seen it. Instead, the Sorcerer Supreme committed himself to a hugely improbable course of action that literally depended on a rodent's paws, a mad scramble for an Infinity Gauntlet on a battlefield, and a moment of sacrifice from Earth's greatest defender.

Iron Man was the only one Thanos was going to kill out of necessity - using the power of a four-stoned Infinity Gauntlet, no less. He killed Loki because he wanted to. He was going to kill Stark because he felt he _had to._

Stark was the only one outside of Wanda and Thor that could've beaten him because of his power and will. Wanda was too emotionally drained to fight after she killed vision and Thor didn't need to die cause Thanos snapped, Iron man was the only one he would've killed due to his persistence and the fact that thanos didn't have the stone yet

In endgame when bruce talks to the ancient one she admits that she made a mistake, very vaguely unidentified throughout the movie and still tried to be deciphered ever since, I think she meant she made a mistake of seeing what strange was to become in the future that was supposed to come to pass, in wandavision agatha harkness hints that wanda will get in a battle with the sorcer supreme, but in what way, technically the ancient one made a mistake forseeing what strange was supposed to become, and now that new timelines are branching agatha may not be referring to the original doctor strange, but one that might reside in a far worse position
