Yo brother, just found your channel. White boy from the UK, huge fan of Wisdom. I’m really glad Americans are finding him and liking him. He blends the old school and the new sound so he’s got something for everyone. People tend to think of UK rap as that Grime sound, where the beats are slower, gloomy and jerky with pretty basic flow and patterns. I’m glad that Wisdom is getting noticed and repping boombap. If Method Man is jumping on one of his tracks and appearing in the video with Ocean, it speaks volumes about how highly he must rate Wisdom. Real recognise real as it goes! Also, you’re absolutely spot on about Wisdoms flow being like a drum itself. He’s got a real talent for switching up flows to be percussive. Ocean was in to Beat boxing before he started making hip hop. hes says that when he writes he uses beatbox patterns and just uses words to maKE what sound he wants, lol works for me lol, thats the thing, some people listen to stuff like this and think they rapping fast but they not they just use syllables. i think after u listen to tracks a few times and learn the words u realize how clear and relaxed it actually is. 1 thing i like bout uk hiphop is you have to listen to tracks more than 1 time before u catch what they saying,
