Thoughts that come to mind…through my speakers…that main vocal sounds like it has a set of lungs. It did sound coyote ish at times… then the barks seemed to come from the same. Sasquatch mimics come to mind… including the Barred owl calls. The timing of the owl calls were interesting… how they intertwined with those main vocals. Even the group of coyotes didn’t sound like typical coyote yips and howls to me. It was also interesting how you pointed out how it sounds like they’re opening their mouth. You could say it’s canine since some of the sounds did sound canine. On the other hand…I thought some of the other sounds could be what a Sasquatch sounds like.some of those were odd. Great recordings.

@@CampingWithSasquatch I still keep listening to it. This one has me stumped. I’m going to go back to some previous recordings and listen for more of that creature.

@@thermalridges I’m leaning towards Sasquatch. I’m thinking maybe some coyotes were mixed in…and maybe not. Was there even an owl or coyote in there at all? Those Barred Owl calls sound very similar to owl calls I’ve heard which I’m quite sure aren’t owls… especially the ones that come from the ground level. I have also heard more than once, people saying Sasquatch also make bark sounds. I suppose this all could have a natural explanation… and on the other side… I suppose every sound you recorded could be Sasquatch. I’m thinking even coyotes had to know those first vocals weren’t typical and so I wonder if they would even return howl.. but that begs the question of the relationship between Sasquatch and coyotes. Some say they hunt together.

That very faint vocal at 3:10 is really interesting… as are most of the preceding ones

I’ve got to closer to whatever it is making those long howls in the distance. I have some ideas of where they’re coming from. Just got to get in a little deeper. Thanks for your feedback!

@@thermalridges that reminded me of the Ohio howl. Coincidentally… I recorded something very similar recently… and it too was way off in the distance

Listen with earbuds or headphones if you can. I just listened through iPhone speakers and it kind of distorts during the audio clips.
