Walking at night in the city… but tonight it’s even darker than usual. Something is wrong, you know it. A creeping feeling of discomfort. You try to brush it off, when you suddenly hear a scream in the distance… It sends a cold chill down your spine, and you’re in cold sweat as you look around, scared. You are compelled to go and investigate for the source of the sound.. And then, you wake up in your bed. That terrible scream still lingers in your head… A genuinely amazing piece as usual, Sir Myuu! I imagine a scenario in which someone has slowly gone insane. Be it a terminal brain condition, split personalities, but one day they are awakened. They see what's happening in their life, but are trapped behind a glass cage and can only observe through their eyes. They can only watch their body behave autonomously. They're thrust back into the recesses of their mind and to gain control again, they must venture through a strange dreamscape -- hence, "Strange Vision", all the while fighting to maintain self-awareness in a hazy, confusing part of their brain. Lost memories. Amalgamations of where they've been and where they are. Darkness and strange patterns swirling around them. All trying to get a moment of clarity in which they are themselves again, to tell their friends and family they're still here -- even if it's only for a moment, before they're pulled back into a dark, dark sleep. An empty void of nothingness in which they feel the urge to rest their eyes and their soul once more. What a nightmare. Beautiful piece, Myuu.

"It's been eight years, why not?" "Devon, you have to trust me!" "So you don't trust me?!" We locked eyes intensely. It was a standoff. I could never go against him, I even promised no secrets. Defeated, I let him through hearing the door behind me open ad he ventured into that accursed hall of blasphemous taboos. The walls were decorated with drawings and portraits of ghoulish twisted beings devouring human flesh. The ground was weighed down with man-sized sculptures of humanoids that seemingly tower over us yet are hunched due to their immense upper bodies and gangly goat legs. Their mouths large and gaping filled with rows of dingy sharp teeth. Their eyes bulged menacingly out of their heads while their massive arms drooped on either side to the floor. They were my finest masterpieces, but they came with a price. "Austin? What is all this?" Devon looked at me puzzled but not shocked. I promised...no secrets, so I told him the truth--the truth of my subjects, my inspirations. He turned away not facing me, then I noticed something--he was hyperventilating as if ready to break down with revelation. What he told me next made my blood ran cold. "Austin....how could you?! ..........YOU PROMISED NOT TO TELL!" "W-what?! I don't understand!" "They told me everything, Austin! My parents told me our family secret is safe! They made you swore. I trusted you!"
