An added bonus of traveling in a T3 destroyer is that if you're expecting an SB gank, you can switch to defensive mode after you've engaged warp, so when you land on gate you'll have a good chunk of extra resistances.

You can also jump in a Hecate, starting in Propulsion Mode, then switching to Defense or Sharpshooter Mode half a second later. That's because switching Hecate modes doesn't require you to decloak, and the burst of speed from Propulsion Mode will exceed the slower warp thresholds of Defense or Sharpshooter Mode.

I built this today and love it...I have a full set of Ascendency minus the Omega and have an align time of 0.96 and a warp of 6.92...so much fun to fly. thank you for sharing this.

I personally would fly the insta insta warp hecate a little different. multi spectrum for more ehp, same for the damage control. its a tad more expensive but it has around 4k more ehp, which is like a lot more smart bombs, and when you switch over the defense mode, it gives a lot larger ehp with the hecate's hull resist bonuses, which can boost it up to 20.7k. Having watched the other videos on this topic and read some Reddit posts, it seems to me that at a certain point, you are more at the mercy of the server ticks rather than your ships statistics. People should be getting away, but the server isn’t fast enough and they end up rubber banding right back to an inglorious doom. I’m interested in your experience in this.

if you want to make uncatchable ship then there are better mid slot items than shield extenders what bloom your signature/thus making you easer to lock.

you should consider gate pings for your route to jita, then you can check for smartbombs on the highsec gates. also watch out for ACL scams, "freeports" dont always stay freeported if the owners find out you move blingy stuff

So how long does it take to get ME 10 on those capital parts? live in an npc station in .3 myself and ME 10 is closer to 60 days i think, could remember wrong but it sure takes a while, and the Rorqual from ME 6 -> 10 is 400+ days :(

Hey Berth, takes a total of 50 days to do ME10 and same again to TE 20 for the cap components. Ships are a different ball game and have massive researching times.

What I've heard is it's below the number or it rounds up... Meaning 1.01 (and maybe even 1.00) means 2. So I try to get it as close to the next number as possible (to save monies lol) But I could be wrong!

Voltron bro here. That's not a thing anymore or at least it looks differently. Right now, the two most dangerous gate camps in all null sec are the Goon camp in D-W and that one three gate pipe in Simple Farmers space. Those guys are very good at setting up "bumper" ships (usually battleship size, Machariels are the most common for obvious reasons). Alignment time won't get you anywhere in any of those gate camps because they're not aimed at catching you upon breaking gate cloak, but rather when you land at the next gate. Fly dangerous, m8; safety leads to stagnancy and lack of content. O7

It’s definitely still a thing, 1DQ gate in T5 has got down their instal recently, watch dabigredboat try and get through on his twitch stream. Massively boosted ships. I know, I’m sat there right now 😋
