It occurred to me that the algorithm might just have picked up on the word "uncensored" in the original video's title, and they might have it set to automatically restrict anything with this and other words, assuming it applies to the video content even though in your case it simply referred to the subject matter.

Goddamit, don’t give up. Your videos look professional, no nonsense presentation of the subject that’s both enjoyable and informative. That upload was really good, all of them are so good that I even like to listen when you talk about the stuff I’m already familiar with (just to remind myself about something, pick a behind the scenes fun fact or look at some history with fresh eyes). I’m not a guy that follows hundreds of people but I always look forward to anything new on your channel, because sometimes I’ll find that missing reason I needed to finally pick-up an old title I was always thinking about reading. I don’t understand what was ‘wrong’ in the first version, punishing someone for not meeting their standard is bad enough but not pointing out what exactly is so offensive? That’s being a dick on another level just because they can.

I skipped the original video because I have the Authority in my to read stack for this month, but then I saw what happened to the video... That sucks! The internet is weird. I wrote a movie review a week ago, and when I posted it on Twitter, it was blocked due to the title, even though there was nothing offensive about the review. KZbin does the same thing, due to some wording, videos are blocked or age restricted over minor things

I'm hesitant to leave this comment because it likely won't be taken well, but I'm sending it in the hopes of trying to give helpful advice. I've watched your channel for quite awhile and feel compelled to say, how you handled this incident does not reflect too well on you. The reason is you're venting your frustrations to an almost over the top degree, but expecting the viewer to care for the sake of sympathy without self improvement. It's the rule of attraction; the more needy you are, the more you repel people. Had you just kept your head up and stayed silent you'd have maintained your dignity, if nothing else, but you ended up cutting off your nose to spite your face by galvanizing your og video to put up this nonsense parody. In this case after having seen the original, I have to say youtube was sort of correct; the uncensored panels are what did it, right or wrong, but to ignore that and put this unwatchable tripe up where you censor the Engineer's body is pretty childish. Now there's no chance of the age restricted version growing- and it got back to 100k views even still- by overreacting to a setback. If you need a reason why your channel is not expanding, it's perhaps because you're blaming something else instead of accepting that your more introverted style that must include not ever having to go on cam is what the real issue is. A channel without a personality in front of it nor an angle is never going to grow in the way you want. Anyway sorry if I'm too blunt, but I think someone giving it to you relatively straight is more helpful in the long run then ego boosting comments from existing subscribers being 'nice' to calm you down after a huge meltdown. Is it unfair what happened? Absolutely. Frustrating? Sure. But you're throwing out negativity and wondering why it isn't working. I used to respect that I thought your minimalist channel and modest success was a choice, that you weren't in it for money. You haven't given the viewer a reason why they should care enough to *want* to keep coming back regularly beyond pity and that's key.
