Honestly,i see john as the man arthur never got chance to become in his life..That's why he is so interesting and amazing in rdr1 rather than the dull one in the beginning of rdr2..

That's the difference between Arthur and John. In the story John becomes a literal Legend of the West. Arthur doesn't. Arthur's meant to keep a low profile throughout the game, hence Tacitus Kilgore, Arthur Callaghan, etc So nobody really knew his name enough to spread it around. John didn't have to run from the law in the original story so he was more able to indirectly get his name across and build his legend. It wouldn't have made sense story wise for a fame mechanic to be in this game when you're meant to be lying low.

Something so strange about VH and it's not only IKZ (but mostly) the light tower and the "let light shine in the darkness" motto of the saloon. IIRC the motto can be heard in Arthurs "last ride song"( when he confronts Micah/Dutch) It feels like VH has not exposed all it's secrets yet. The law seems to ignore the town completly...

Hey! Do you have the opportunity to find out more about John's daughter? in RDR1 when he talk to Bonnie he tells she that he had a daughter who died .. Before RDR2 was released I was almost sure that you would find out something about John's daughter .. But nothing .. Has Rockstar just sorted out the daughter or have they forgotten the still quite important detail ..? I sincerely hope that it will be possible to get an answer to that .. I have always assumed that John and Abgail had the baby after RDR2. It doesn't make much sense to me that John and Abgail would have a baby between Chapter 6 and epilogue 1 because their always traveling and on the run. But after RDR2 they think their safe, so they decided to try for a baby. It would have been nice if after you finish the game theres some dialogue where Abgail comes up to you at Beechers Hope and tells John she wants to try and have another child as its one of the few big loose ends that hasn't been tied.

Me personally, I think it happened some time after Arthur died, before the epilogue. If I'm not mistaken, the epilogue takes place 7/8 years after 1899. And in the epilogue, John's horse's name is Rachel. Maybe he named the horse after his daughter? 🤔 And it was easier for people to get sick and die back in those days. So I think she got sick somehow when she was only a baby. Just my opinion

@@DeeJayThaKing27 I think it's just one of those things they forgot cause the dialogue is very much missable (I didn't even know about it until now and I've 100%ed that game and had 3 playthroughs) so I'd say you might be right. But I'd say that yes she probably died at the ages of 1-5 because if she had died soon before the epilogue Abigail in particular would've been in pieces (just look how she was when Jack was taken by the Braithwates)

@@outdater9302 True, that's a good observation. Abigail would be torn. But maybe they don't talk about it cause it's too painful, kinda like they did with John and Arthur. John said it hurt too much to talk about Arthur and they used that as an excuse to why he wasn't mentioned in rdr1.

I love how the deleted mission at the end makes a reference to a book with a tall dumb guy and a shorter scrony guy. They even use the same lines. “You killed her. You killed her! Now how we get any!” I can’t remember what book it’s from but was it a great read
