The skinner detail is icing to me. I’ve always role-played John as being very aggressive to the skinners. Wiping them out to protect his land and letting out that old inner animal now that Abigail is gone. I’ll be roaming the woods for days looking for this encounter just so John can have the satisfaction of knowing they fear him as much as I want them too.

@dragonwolf07232 жыл бұрын
It could, but hanging scars aren't really that... clean. They're bright red, or the same color as a hickey when they're very old. This was surely more of an open wound than a scar caused by friction or strangulation. Also, when you look at the type of rope they have for hangings in the game, you can see they're very large, which would then cause very large scars. In my opinion, it's more likely to come from a knife of some sort (not a doctor by the way, I just did some researchs lmao).

Lazlow Jones said if you wear to take the entire script for RDR2 and stack it, it would be about 8 feet tall in height. The first amazing detail in this video shows us that he wasn't kidding at all. I cant believe that Dan, Michael and Rupert or some developer who worked on this part actually thought of us actually following Chatenay to see where he would go and decided to add dialogue and even an event. That shows you how much love was put into this game.

I noticed something about the Skinner brother detail, the same thing happens with Del Lobos. When you raid Del Lobo compounds and/or accept bounty hunting missions from Sheriff Freeman to hunt down Del Lobo members, you hear them talking in Thieves Landing about an "American Cowboy" who killed several Del Lobo members and that they will seek revenge. And if John then shows up they'll say "That's him!".

You know what I love so much about this game, and why I love these videos? It’s not just the meticulous, unparalleled attention to detail, or my serious doubt that we’ll ever see even Rockstar pull off such an artistic achievement in gaming ever again. It’s the fact that we are playing Arthur of all the possible characters in the game. What I mean is, when you next watch good western or gangster movie, pay attention to the henchmen around the main characters. The hero will often have a ragtag collection of eclectic personalities about him, whereas the bad guy will have the usual sneering heavies. The best movies are the ones where the villain’s gang are as weird and interesting as the villain, like in True Grit, The Long Goodbye (the Eliot Gould one) and others. So, why I love Red Dead is because Arthur is just, “the second henchman to the left,” so to speak. He’s not the main character of the story that will be told of the Vanderlind Gang, the O’Driscol’s, or of the, “hero,” law enforcers who hunted them. He’s meant to be the muscle; the heavy who gets three lines in a normal western and usually gets barely noticed when he’s killed off in the second reel, or when the heroes are wiping out the whole gang in the final act. I love how this story challenges the stereotype by leaning so heavily into it. If, like me, you have ever speculated about a bit part player and wondered if they have a family and friends that might miss them when the hero casually despatches them with a one liner, this is the story for you. Second henchman to the left, a life explored. Just wonderful. And it’s wonderful that you notice and care about all these tiny details that make his world such a rich place.

hey there’s a detail i noticed doing another playthrough.. you know how you’re riding horses with the gang and there’s dialogue and you get far enough from them they start to yell? So on my playthrough in the first chapter i was riding with charles to teach me how to hunt deer . i got separated from him a bit to test things. i was far enough for him to yell but he didn’t.. i think it’s because he wasn’t trying to scare the animals away because you are looking for food for the camp.

So I wanted to say that the conversation about Colm's name surprises me and the whole way they've made it is so interesting and funny because Rodger really wanted to be Colom (Colem?) and was frustrated about that, so I guess they made that as some kind of middle ground which is nice gesture as well! More on 0451: it shows up as a passcode in System Shock as 451. It has since become a reference made in every immersive sim I have played. Deus Ex references this in the Liberty Island mission, with a door passcode being 0451. 0451 has been used in Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mankind Divided as passcodes too. It also shows up as a passcode in Arkane Studio’s 2017 game Prey, another immersive sim. It wouldn’t surprise me if 0451 shows up in some other works of Arkane like Deathloop or Dishonored. However, I have either not played them or (in the case of Dishonored 1) not encountered it in my 90 minutes of gameplay. I have read that it shows up in System Shock 2, Thief, and the BioShock games as well.

With Javier’s neck scar, it’s also possible he was being strangled with something similar to fiber wire, which would’ve left a scar like that if it cut into the skin enough. Not sure if anyone could technically survive a slit throat, unless the intent was more to torture rather than kill.

lots of people have had their throat cut and live. You just need to cut one very special spot near the ear to kill via an artery. You also need to cut very, very deep to do any real damage.

Seeing as it's really small, I've searched from the areas close to the site, to checking around the buildings. No one has yet to officially confirm if it is actually there or if it's actually cut. Also, during John's playthrough I'm also looking around for the tombstone or the corpse of Karen. Her fate, unlike all other Van Der Linde gang fate, is still unknown and no one acknowledges her existence so far. The file for the surviving Van Der Linde gang in John's time was shown, and the fate for Les Stroud was said he had died from the torture without spilling beans. 'Til, RDR2 is still to this day since release are chock-full of mysteries not yet discovered and super hidden that even the achievements would never cover.
