Love how WoL looks. Keeping that Dissidia/ FFXIV look going. I love it. When the very first trailer for the game ever dropped and I saw Jacks short blond hair, I swore you guys were going to make him WoL and have hia hair grow out. But then I learned that hes not quiet and reserved like WoL is lol

No, Jack is definitely a lot more like the Garland seen in different games like the mobile game Mobius Final Fantasy. Garland’s character is rather rude, and you can see that in Jack in this game: sometimes he flat out ignores his friends, or interrupts people. The only thing that matters to him is his mission.

It was quite obvious from Jack's character that he was nowhere near being the Warrior of Light. He's too brutal and more of an anti-hero/Dark Knight.

Well, both Dissidia and Stranger of Paradise both act as origin stories for the Warrior class and Garland, so they’re pretty much canon to Final Fantasy I in my eyes.

I first heard Matoya's Theme in FF14 I got chills down my spine. When I discovered that it was originally from FF1, I damn nearly felt like tearing up. Nobuo Uematsu needs to be put up there with classical composers like Beethoven, Bach, Chopin etc

One thing I find interesting is that they went with knight (paladin?), ninja, dragoon, and white mage (or maybe sage). I was expecting a black mage, red mage or monk in place of the dragoon in keeping with the original FF.

Interesting all of this. Breakdown: I'm ready to see the expanded story bits Staves look like a nice add on compared to (sadly) Lance's Peasant as a job? That surely is a weird name for it but I look to see how it performs. Evoker/Summoner being added, not gonna lie, felt it was gonna be happening, and I somehow called the Bahamut only use. 🤔 Accessories being added is nice to add some support for people who may find this game even more difficult (surprising I know). The next two expansions are kinda on the nose too. At the very least we will have Gilgamesh bless us with his presence one day 🤩

@@MikeAruba69 In this game? Garland isn't chris, kinda. "Chaos Advent" was a stand-in for the missing darkness that Neon gave form for "chaos". Thus making the one you fight "not" Garland because you (Obvious spoiler) are playing as Jack Garland, the original and true Knight of Cycles.

That part in the end. it feels like Garland will be more friendly towards the Warrior of Light after their fight, IF that scene happens after the fight that is. Maybe that could mean that the Warrior of Light could become an ally in Garland’s plan to stop the Lufenians from messing with the many worlds of Final Fantasy? And to go up against their benefactor? 🤔 I mean: Instead of sending the fiends 2000 years into the future and have them send the Garland of the future back into the past to create the timeloop. He has taken the power to reset the world from the Lufenians and hopes for warriors of light to come and awaits them in his Shrine. It feels like he is using his power too create the warriors of light and that his goal is to recruit them. =3

I think it's more of a "happy that someone who can actually beat him has finally shown up" kind of thing. Although, the text crawl at the end of the original Final Fantasy does say something like "and Garland is waiting there too" when it talks about how the Warriors of Light defeated the darkness and saved the world, and the people can finally live free and be happy. So maybe it's a little of both.

Looking forward to giving this game one more chance, absolutely loved it until endgame required everything to be done on Chaos difficulty which was way too hard for me to do anything or progress. Just kept dying and uninstalled the game out of frustration and never looked back. Devs please keep in mind not everyone loves dark souls level difficulty.

There are certain ways to cheese for gear and stuff , once you're semi geared the game gets pretty easy especially if you go the dark knight/berserker build its pretty easy just punch til they're dead
