When they write these characters, they create their whole lives, habits, sexuality, little quirks of character, in treatises to use as reference for casting, and to draw on. Then slowly bring out new aspects of their characters, as series progress. They openly hinted more than once the Will Character is gay. Your kids probably picked up on it and figured it out, even if you did not. With that last bit, you really have sh!t for brains if you think because actor Noah Schnapp has come out of the closet, suddenly in the final season they are going change the tone of the whole series, and turn the show into soft core.

Millie getting engaged at her age is destined for failure. Where I'm from, everyone was getting married AND having kids at her same age. Guess how many marriages actually succeeded over the years? Not a single one of them. I know a ton of people IRL and not a single one of those marriages lasted past a year or two, some not even making it a full year. Your 20s are some of the best years of your life. Do not get married or have kids here, it's not worth it. Live your life and have fun in your 20s. You have plenty of time for these things. I feel like younger people rush into these things far too often at this age and they have a high rate of failure. For example, one of my coworkers got engaged at 21, she was single before she turned 22. I have seen tons of failures when I graduated and now that I'm 35, these young engagements haven't changed. They're still failing at a near guaranteed rate. It has become a thing among my friends whenever we hear of it to crack jokes about how long it will last because it never lasts long. Wishing her the best, she's a great actor at her age, but there is nothing wrong with just having a bf/gf people. No need to think about anything more than that at this age.
