In honour of a lot of people falling in love with Eddie Munson, I thought it would be fun to breakdown all of the components to make a screen accurate cosplay of him.

DENIM JACKET: Levis blanket lined denim jacket that dons Megadeth, Motörhead, and Iron Maiden patches, as well as a patch of the Leviathan Cross. The vest also features W.A.S.P, Accept, Mercyful Fate and Judas Priest pins, and a large Dio backpatch. The Dio patch was made from genuine vintage Dio tee-shirts donated by the estate of Ronnie James Dio.[5]

I found a leather jacket AND a vintage Levi's jacket in the same thrift store, so that was a steal! I also found almost every pin and patch, except for the W.A.S.P one, as that was sold out everywhere. And just as you did, I found a reproduction of the shirt to attach to the back. I was lucky enough to find a few, vintage items, such as the Iron Maiden patch, which should be from the mid 80's, and the Judas Priest pin I found is from around '80-'82. I love Eddie so much, so this is an exciting cosplay for me! Can't wait to see how yours turn out!

@@scottsanders8634 I was born in '89, my dad was a metalhead when he was young, and thanks to him, I'm a metalhead now. I listen to metal on the daily. Also, stop being a gatekeeper, it's an ugly look on you. This is a cosplay video, about metarials for a cosplay, in order to be accurate. Even if I WASN'T a metalhead, you still have no right to say anything. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Go to your local goodwill and thrift stores to find a leather jacket. I found a beautiful and perfect leather jacket that normally retails for around $500 and it only cost me $10.

When you talked about people faking their similarities with Eddie and that YOU truely feel like being in his shoes and not them (because you were the "strange guy" and you actually DO relate to him like they'll never do), I was feeling exactly the same and complained about this since I'm aware of Eddie's existence. Feels good to see I'm not the only one thiking this way and being mad about it.

It's a bit of a double edged sword because I think gatekeeping is total BS, and I do hope that characters like Eddie will help make people realize that just because someone is a "weird" kid you don't have to ostracize or demonize them (but with social hierarchies being what they are I doubt we'll ever see the end of this kind of dynamic). So yeah, hearing someone who is literally on top of the food chain claim to identify with the outsider that all of Hawkins hates and wants arrested/dead is absolutely laughable, especially coming from someone who will actively keep bullying the "weirdos". With the immense popularity of the show you just KNOW that everybody watches it and everybody loves Eddie, even the bully who fails to see that they'd definitely be Eddie's enemy in that world. An aside: I think it's interesting to hear every now and then that our boy Chris was the nerdy reject back in school. This guy who is objectively handsome beyond reason, in killer physical shape, charismatic and talented. I mean, come on, Chris! Leave some comeback cake for the rest of us!

To be honest Chris the wig you are buying for Eddie i bought for my Crow cosplay, yeah the exact same. I’m thinking of going as the crow for my first con of the season, the coat i also bought off amazon it’s actually a black rain coat with a red lining kinda gives me Dracula vibes. It’s nice to see you at your very best when your geeking out about something you like. I Still have to watch the fourth season of Stranger things but i can’t wait. Cheers and good luck.
