Just when it seemed like Stranger Things Season 5 was right around the corner, the Duffer Brothers have raised some questions. In a recent interview, they stated that it will be "quite the push" to get the final season out on Netflix this year, and that nothing is set in stone yet regarding a release date. Id say it will still be 2025 bcs initially they said the wait was not going to be as long as for S4. The strikes happened and that's understandable. Netflix has been marketing this season as a comeback for 2025 and in Stranger Things Day they also said it was going to be 2025 so my final comment is not to make false promises bcs otherwise I'll feel betrayed.

Tv series are beyond ridiculous taking 2+ years in between seasons. We used to get 12+ episodes a year for a series and now it take 2 years or more to release 8(defintely no more than 10) episodes. It’s a bit insulting as a fan waiting years and years for continuity or a conclusion.

What we can expect is a teaser by March, trailer by about June/July, and the final product to release in the first part in November, maybe even earlier, they already showed a teaser behind the scenes we know that, so some sort of good progress has been made on the editing side of things, I think it will be the same as last season, updating files after release to fix the vfx

Only the last couple of seasons . The first two didn't film as long cuz had shorter episodes and not as much CGI.. season 1 filmed like August or September 2015 to early 2016.. season 2 filmed from like November 2016 through Spring 2017.. but then the Duffers decided to go bigger and longer and be more like blockbusters like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, MCU movies and Jurassic Park.

An assistant editor currently working on editing Stranger Things Season 5 came to my school and shared that every time they finished filming a scene, they would send it over to be edited, a process that took about eight months. Based on this, I believe they still have a bit more editing to do, but not for much longer. I think the season will be released at the end of 2025.

Since post production is gonna take a while, I have a thought. They are gonna focus on “volume 1” and promise to get that out this year maybe around Stranger Things Day. Then “volume 2” they’ll still work on getting it out this year maybe around Christmas time but it could slide into 2026. But then that way at least they got half of it out this year. So they can feed the fans after 3 years!

I don’t think they will push it to 2026 considering all the marketing they have been doing for Season 5. I mean, why would they say "coming 2025" several times if they weren't sure that they were gonna be finished with it in 2025? If that is the case and that the season really drops in 2026, then they have been giving out false information. So no, I do NOT think it will be delayed.

Season 2 premiered October 27, 2017 Season 3: Greenlit to start production on December 1, 2017. Started production on April 20, 2018 and filming began April 23. Filming finished November 12, 2018. Season 3 premiered on July 4, 2019. Season 4: Slated to begin filming January 2020, delayed due to COVID-19 and resumed production on October 1, 2020. Noah Schnapp announced that filming had wrapped by September 2021. Season 4 premiered May 27 and July 1, 2022. Season 5: David Harbour announced that they would start filming by Summer 2023. On May 6, 2023 it was announced that production was postponed due to the WGA Writer's Strike and later also because of the SAG-AFTRA strikes, which lasted until September 27 and November 9 respectively. It was announced on January 8, 2024 that filming had begun and wrapped December 17, 2024.

I feel like the show was working on editing and the visual effects while they were filming it last year. So I feel like they are saying what they did in the article to throw people off. But I feel like Netflix is going to do what they did with Cobra Kai. But I think part 1 will come out around August then Part 2 will come out at the end of October then part 3 coming out January 2026.

I'd rather have a well put together and polished final product that takes multiple delays, than something rushed and halfassed. With artistic media, the final product is what will last forever. I hope they take they take their sweet time in perfecting their vision for the finale, but are also fair in drip feeding the fans content, which they haven't been at all recently.

I mean as much as I don’t want the release pushed, we must also remember this is worked on by real people and they want to make it look the best they can so I don’t want them to force their editors into 24/7 work just to get this show out this year.
