Ok maybe this is a super spoiler but I have been fascinated as most with this series for years and literally rewatching the whole series for I don't know how many times the whole show has clicked. And I reckon I know why Will is so central to Series 5. Vecna aka 001, Eleven, Eddie (whose back story book backs this), Chrissy Cunningham, Patrick McKinney, and I would put money on hearing a back story on Fred Benson's "murder" situation in season 5 to confirm this, Billy and Max and I bet soon to be revealed in season 5 Will and Jonathon are all victims of Child Abuse by a parent, mainly fathers, with exception to Chrissy. But even in her case, her father due to his eyes and mouth mutilated in season 4 clips with her and Vecna kinda hints to him not standing up for her. I think this whole series and the reality of the upside down is an existential reality of the hell kids who are victims of abuse, all types, live in. The monsters, mainly Vecna and the mindslayer are when those victims become the abusers or even the fear manifested of living in a reality where your world feels completely unsafe.. But there is this parallel reality celebrated mainly in El and Will's character and a bit in Jonathon's when abuse victims rise up to stand up against other abusers (represented ny standing up against Bully's in all forms even the US govt and the Russians, and help others in similar situations. If this is what this series is about and where season 5 is going, may I and hopefully others give one hell of a global slow clap all the way to a mega standing ovation to the Duffer brothers for doing this. Especially since most of the outright shite on Netflix has subtle nuances of supporting pedophilia and an overall indifference to child abuse. So well f'n done to you boys for making an incredible series that stands up and says hell to the no and in a massive way to Child Abuse and that love of friends and safe family can help kids find their super power to over come the trauma and break the cycle. If you pay attention to the subtle story lines of the parental figures of each of these characters murdered by the upside down I think there is a common link, my only wonder is about Barb... maybe we will see her back story in season 5? Will Suzy or her siblings be future victims? Maybe Max will come out of the coma because her Mom will wake up to herself and get help for her alcoholism (neglect is still abuse). Either way there is a theme of the main cast and their love and support of each other plus hopper and Joyce being a support system of love and defense against this toxic reality and trauma of abused kids reflected in the "upside down". Again just my take on it, literally just connected these dots. but anybody else seeing this? Something I find interesting is how Holly has actually had a lot of interactions with the Upside Down. Season 1: was seemingly lured into Will's room, saw the Demogorgon pushing through the wall before it stopped upon Joyce arriving. Season 3: was the only one to notice the 'trees moving' at the fair. This was obviously the Mind Flayer. Season 4: she was literally present whilst Dustin, Max and everybody was talking about Vecna and the Creel House. Point is, she has to be the only non-main character to have this much explicit interaction with with Upside Down.

This is a wild guess, but since there's a time jump, things may have settled down, at least a little bit. Maybe one of the original four kids, Mike, Will, Dustin, or Lucas work at the radio station as a summer job or something: they'd technically be old enough. Otherwise, why would they be at a radio station? Someone would have to let them in. I don't know, just a theory.

In the post that I saw there were 5 of the stars over the name of whoever vanished. Maybe that could be just a random amount, but if you look at the amount of letters in each name Nancy, Karen and Holly all have 5 letters so it’s most likely one of them if this is true. I also think Joseph Quinn is definitely coming back, I don’t think Eddie is coming back to life I think it’s more likely to have him in flashbacks or Vecna using him against Dustin in the same way he used Billy against Max.

I think that Holly will be the one that goes missing, because she supposedly does not know what the upside down is so she wouldn’t know her way out and what to do, which would be better for Vecna. Nancy does since she’s obviously very familiar with the upside down, and Karen’s an adult and I wouldn’t think he would kidnap an adult. Once Holly would go missing, Nancy would probably know what’s going on and know that Vecna is starting his plan to kill her family, so Nancy could then save her in time.

These defo could be real. Most fake episode titles sound obviously fake, and usually have completely generic names such as 'The Final Campaign' or 'The Shadow of Hawkins'. These are actually very specific in their meanings, and sound like professionally made titles. Theres a good chance of these being real.

I’m waiting to do my video on Friday but I can’t wait to talk about it on my video. However, I think the second title is going to be “The Vanishing of Karen wheeler” because she announced to the public that she is doing episode 2. This might mean that she can be Henry’s sister. People saying “Henry would be older” but they’re forgetting that he was in the upside down and time freezes + he’s a monstrous creature as well. 🤷🏽‍♀️ + flashbacks.

I truly hope Eddie comes back, but I don’t want him to see him as a bad guy. He had such an amazing reputation season four and I don’t want to let that go for him. The title about The vanishing of ____ Wheeler could very much be Ted also. Remember that the visions of Nancy included the death of everyone, except for Ted. You could see Holly, Karen, even Mike lying dead on the ground (except for Ted) i think that i might be onto something, but please let me know.

When I searched up the episode title “Sorcerer“, the movie came up. It’s a movie that was made in 1977… it’s about “Four unfortunate men from different parts of the globe agree to risk their lives transporting gallons of nitroglycerin across dangerous Latin American jungle.“ I know that doesn’t sound like stranger things at all but there’s the 4 men that remind me of maybe Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin..?? That just reminded me of them.

Well there's so many reasons why I do think it's Mike ( including theories ) . You're definitely right about Will. But also because of how much El means to him too. Both El and Will are the closest to him and both of them are connected to Vecna and the Upside Down. But now another theory I just read right here in the comments , from those video clips up on the roof of the radio station back in February where both El and Mike were having a heart to heart. Not only was that the last clip / photo we saw of Mike for season 5 but another clip after that showed only just El on the roof looking down screaming. This could have been scenes for episode 2 which is the title for the vanishing Wheeler.

what if the “shock jock” is using the radio tower to draw something out of the upside down or sending some signal in. and the “sorcerer” whoever it is could be another number. for the escape from camazotz, my guess is either they are able to find eddie with the radio signal and then they have to escape the “lair” that hes stuck in. or it could just be escaping a certain location in the upside down with demobats or a giant demobat like that mayan god. either way these sound cool asf

@ILiKeToOmAnYfAnDoMs447 It just seems unlikely for them to bring eddie back as a vampire...It's like that Barb theory all over again and CAMAZOTZ means ESCAPE FROM DEATH so Max is trying to survive and it could be a double meaning Max surviving death and something in the episode where someone is escaping bats because the episode is called ESCAPE FROM CAMAZOTZ not CAMAZOTZ. If it was CAMAZOTZ then maybe eddie would come back but ESCAPE FROM CAMAZOTZ is a whole different thing so if CAMAZOTZ means DEATH and a type of BAT then it would be possible for Eddie to come back but if we add the "ESCAPE FROM" part it's a whole other meaning...BUT HEY THAT'S JUST A THEORY...

"A deity who demanded human offerings, particularly victims' hearts." So, ok, hear me out, but who have we seen an entire scene devoted to emphasizing that a specific character is "the heart"? That, good sir and fantastic source for news, would be Mike. Though don't get me wrong, I'd love for Eddie to return, but... If the lore is that it requires a sacrifice of the heart, and that's the angle that the Duffers are going, I'm thinking Mike is the sacrifice which will would bring about total and complete chaos for the remainder of the season for both El AND Will and might just be the catalyst that we need for that final climax in the story, "ensuring the suns return" FINALLY bringing Hawkins out of the darkness again. ...OR the sacrifice of hearts could just mean the fact that those Vecna specifically chose were people with darkness in their hearts from something hurting them. *shrug*

Yeah, you may be right about Mike because that's what worries me. He's one of my 2 favorite characters ( Will is the other ). And between the vanishing Wheeler that's rumored for the second episode title and that recent audio clip that does sound a lot like Will crying emotionally screaming for somebody to run ( as if that other character means a great deal to Will ). I really hope these characters survive and that this is only a " danger " situation that they have to go through first and then they with El and the others can finally take Vecna down.

SPOILER ABOUT THE TWO AUDIO RECORDINGS: So, it's DEFINITELY female in danger and I'm ALMOST POSITIVE it's the one and only KAREN WHEELER. Hear me out then go listen to the clips again. I've gone over it few times and we're DEFINITELY hearing at least 3 different people in the clips. At the VERY beginning of the first clip you hear Will CLEARLY confirming it's a female, then another distant character telling her to run, and in the second clip you hear the director giving direction and feeding ques. Now, there may even be a fourth character in the second clip, hard to tell for sure, but I don't think so, I think it's the director again. Here's what I think it ACTUALLY says: RECORDING 1 Will: "she's by herself" Second character further away: "fuck". Second character: "Mrs Wheeler can you hear me? You need to run... RUUUUUUUUUN". RECORDING 2 Director: Fuck. Character: "FUCK!" Director (could be a fourth character): "try throwing it/him" "knocking and tumbling sounds* Character: "Run... RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!" Director: "That's a cut" WE MAY EVEN be looking at two different takes of the same scene, but the subtitles we currently have are definitely wrong. There are parts of words that are more difficult to hear by nature of voice and the very sound of some words can make it even harder, but there is absolutely some unmistakable dialogue here and based on speech patterns and basic etiquette, I think we're looking at "The Vanishing of KAREN Wheeler" Now, there IS a VERY slight chance in the first recording Will says "he's near her" instead of the second voice calling for Mrs Wheeler, but if that was the case, then the second voice would be talking OVER Will and I don't think they'd do that. It's DEFINITELY a female though and I'm almost positive they're calling out to Mrs Wheeler. IF that's true, then it's NOT MIKE yelling and Will is much closer and very distinctly clearer so it's SOMEONE ELSE and my bet is on Dustin. Then again, that could also be because he's the one who's ALWAYS yelling directions at people in the series, but goodness knows how much we love him for it. lol).

like robin said that she was scared that those bats had rabies and might affect steve but eddie literally DIED by bats so maybe the rabies had spread and he works for vecna but goes undercover in the real world and delivers the messages and the plans that the gang is doing to vecna as we know that vecna is in a very weak stage as Nancy steve and robin literally put fire on him and shot him and we know that he has been taking hosts and controlling them and he also said that who ever he kills is there inside his head so maybe he can bring eddie back with his memories but vecna controls him like he did to will and billy and then vecna plots against the gang using eddie. I don't think so but I feel like they will either do this or bring him back for a flashback scene but there are chances that he becomes a vampire as there is a character called "kas" in d&d and he's, well, a vampire so there are chances that these might happen but I don't want eddie to help vecna because it'll literally ruin his fanbase but there are chances. I'm not fully supporting that theory but yeah there are chances that it might happen

It has nothing to do with Eddie or demobats. We're going to explore the upside down more. Spoiler remember when henry got sent to the upsidedown in episode 7, the lightning was red(in the upside down) but in episode 9 where he was it was golden brown or yellow(a different dimension). The upside down known as hellscape(hence hellfire) is the bridge between two worlds and not a world itself (between hawkins and another dimension(Camazotz) I'll intricate more on the replies.

If they wanted to really have a major cliffhanger at the end of the season, I saw a theory a while ago, that the characters that have died with the letter “B” in their name could be in relation to borys, if so , borys hasn’t been mentioned at all, even though will showed Mike the painting, so borys might just be a really unexpected plot twist after they think they won or something against Vecna 😅

But they originally had episode 5 as that title which now we know isn't. So this could just be another theory too. But I am a big Byler and Will is my #1 favorite and Mike my second favorite. I do believe it's most likely Mike but more so because he's her boyfriend. Also Will too ( his best friend ) since both El and Will have a connection to both Vecna and the Upside Down. And the person Vecna would target for season 5 ( besides many other theories ) is the one who is the closest to the 2 characters who could take him down. By kidnapping Mike, Vecna would anger both Will and El with rage. Edited to say but I think you are also right about the radio station too. Because there was a brief video of just El on the roof after that clip of her with Mike up there and she's looking down screaming.

I definitely agree that Holly most likely is not the Wheeler who goes missing ( for several reasons ) but one is because people are saying it's because she's being recast with a famous actress. But I don't believe that because episode 2 was planned at least 6 months ago and the Duffers didn't know if the twins were going to be able to return or not. As for Steve, I agree that it's only a rumour because if you're referring to that audio clip I don't think he's in that at all. I could never hear the name Steve but I do very faintly hear a different name at the very beginning of the audio ( others heard that other name too ).
