The first Demogorgon was special. It had an ability to enter the two dimensions with ease. Newer Demogorgon in season 4 seem to not exhibit this. But is visibly faster and probably stronger.

I know that El's mother is alive and physically exists in our universe, but she's practically vegetative. I think the Demagorgon is the physical embodiment of El's mother's consciousness in the other dimension, hungry and alone, hence its connection to El and vendetta against Hawkins.

I think I can explain the reason why the demogorgon goes for wills mom instead of him. It must be a hypervore meaning that when it sees food, all it can think of is eat eat eat. It’s never full and all little bit of food is a life source so if you see a smaller pizza slice next to the bigger one, you’ll go for the bigger one cause it will sustain your hunger better.

I was super bumbed out when its revealed in season 2 that creatures are all linked to the mindflayer. I hate the idea of evil being tied to a single entity so when its defeated its happily ever after, then season 3 had that beautiful moment at the end where the russians feed that guy to a demogorgon thats alive and well even after the gates been closed. Words could not describe my joy. I love the idea of more mysteries and threats rather than the one big bad guy. Something about knowing theres other powerful creatures around causing havoc is comforting.

After season 4... I don't much understand how the Demogorgon could take will into the upside down. They spent the entire 4th season talking about how hard it was for vecna to open doorways...yet this monster could easily do it...also without killing someone.

Itsoon explained. The only One able tò open stable portal Is Eleven, but She needs a counterpart tò stabilite her power (demogorgon, 001, and similar). The stable portal of season 1 weakens dimensional textures, so demogorgon travel between 2 universe. Here Is a mistake: nobody really knows if demogorgon can open, thats Just what the children think. Vecna could have opened temporary portals letting his favorite demogorgon go

new information has come out that supports the demogorgon being immune to gunfire even in the upside-down in case anyone wanted to know or thought it might be weaker in it's home dimension for some reason. the source is the new DLC for farcry 6, where you travel to the upside down and the demogorgon chases you and is immune to damage.

so if you notice, after season 4 finished, i rewatched the show, and noticed that when will gets spooked, the creatures left hand is larger, and it telekinetically opens the byers shed, which made me wonder if it was Vecna who took will, not the Demogorgon

I still believe it's a demogorgon. 1. The claw on the other hand is obscured by darkness. 2. The face was probably an error 3. Head is way too big to be Vecna 4. It's back legs are the same shape as the Demogorgon 5. It has the EXACT same body shape as the demogorgon 6. It probably wasn't telekinetically, because the demogorgon could have been crawling on the SIDE of the shed and outstretched its claw to open the door. The only thing that I can't explain is the clock sound.

She did not create the upside down she „only“ opened the gate to it. The upside down world goes far back for which are hints throughout the season(s). The biggest one is Dustin explaining his assumption that the upside down already existed when dinosaurs were alive. If you turn on the subtitles there are also a few hints whenever vecna attacks or in episode 7 during the battle between One and El. The background music is described as eldritch sound or music and eldritch might be a link to Lovecraft and his work (multiverse/eldritch creatures inhabiting the world before mankind did etc.) since Stranger things is partly inspired by it 👉🏻👈🏻😅

1:18 fun-theory alot of people suspect about this scene, is it isn't actually a demogorgon, but instead the new season five antagonist being controlled by the "MF" since it's a different form and you also hear the sound of clocks just like whenever that creepy fu-- appears and are the associated sound cue for when it's near or it does/did something. It could just be the Demogorgon but it's fun to theorize.

In season one, I feel like he was gathering information on the real world for the mind flayer because in season 2, it sends an army of Demogorgons. Technecally demodogs. It was still a mindless monster in season one, the mindflayer was just using all of it's power to control this one. It was probably the only demogorgon at that point until will vomits out a little slug boy.

MK-ULTRA took place in around the 1968-1970 and had four people in it. Gloria, Ken, Alice, and Terry. Alice was actually able to see into the future(?) where she saw monsters (yes, plural) with flower like faces and a child with buzzed off hair. Terry met Kahli and formed a bond with her, which may be part of why Kahli and Jane had an immediate bond. Terry could also go into the void-ish in-between place El goes into when searching for someone. Here, Terry talks with Kahli about Brenner and such. I thought this was something to mention, just a bit of extra information. The time stamps for MK-ULTRA aren't exact, but they are the general times.

The red scare wasn't the only highlight of season one, much more pertinent was the 'stanger danger' of the 1970s shaping much of Joyce and her delve into unbelieved 'insanity' at the loss of her child. How many people have been eaten by shadow demons just for their parents to go insane lose their minds and for no one to take them seriously? Guess we'll never know.
