So when onebank is on the power strike the outside cylinders would by pushing up on the compressing pistons would free up the power strike the gi to the crank and not lose any to compression abd depending on how much the they pull on the connecting rod should help with the power strike by the pulling on the crank journal.

What the guy has built here is as effective as an overcomplicated V2. He has taken away what makes a V8 so great; every piston being able to turn the crankshaft. Here you only have two things turning the crankshaft. This is a stupid design.

Awww bless him, when I use to do my rounds in the community a community base nurse, I had an old gentel man who build a fully functioning "vespa" mod it 1960s style with 20 plus mirrors complete with multiple union jack flags on his balcony. There was no way to get the bike out of the balcony without dismantling it. He use to ride until his condition of muscle dystrophy, worsen. It was wholesome where he lived the neighbours would watch him build it and on days when he is weak they all cheer him on to carry on n that he can finish it. He finished the project but sadly died a year later due to complications of his ailment. Truelly a strong will man, I forgot his surname but his first name was Rob. May he rest in peace n ride till the end of time.

The outside pistons don't contribute to power
@WindyCityJumpman
@WindyCityJumpman Жыл бұрын
It appears that the energy of the power stoke from the outer two pistons only contributes to the compression stoke of the inner two pistons and not to the crankshaft power. This means that the engine performance is essentially the same as a basic 4 cylinder, but with the compilation of added mass, friction and components. Looks neat, but I don't see any benefit
@isekawai

Okay. Any headphones will let you hear what the microphone could manage in its crippled state. That’s why it sounds quiet but it’s actually just too loud to hear.

52 cid and 70hp... And naturally aspirated. That's really excellent specific output. For reference, the F20C from the S2000 makes 240 from 120 cid, and that's basically the best anyone has ever done with an N/A engine. He's solved the bore/stroke ratio problem, which basically puts an upper bound on stroke because of excessive connecting rod angle. If the angle is too high, you hit the bottom of the cylinder.

Not necessarily, In a regular 4 stroke the rod only sees combustion pressure once every 4 strokes, the rod in this engine sees pressure (push and pull) every stroke but the peak should be the same. the usual point of failure in a 4 stroke is the wrist pin at TDC at high RPM at the end of the exhaust stroke because of initial forces of the piston and the open valves keeping the air cushion from pushing back. in this engine, there is a push back on the ...pins?....after every stroke so I would assume the pressure on them collectively would be less or the same.
