This song is about the systematic genocide against The Native Americans followed by the constant genocide that occurs in warfare. Incredibly well written and brilliantly driven home by the tribal rhythms and haunting melodies. Strangeways are the most sophisticated of all AOR. HAIL TO STRANGEWAYS!

WHERE ARE THEY NOW! WHERE ARE THEY NOW! It's written in blood, in graveyards, in the eyes of poverty and eyes full of tears, or sad eyes forcing a smile. Soldiers should never go through the Hell they have gone through since the beginning of time and there shouldn't be poverty, starvation, racism, violence for the sake of violence. By degrading other people you make yourself a target worthy of a violent reaction. This song is so true and such a powerful crying out for a better world. Terry sounds like he's gonna explode when he's singing it and the whole band put an incredible amount of passion into the song. I go around singing this song all the time. STRANGEWAYS FOREVER! AOR FOREVER!

Lyrics were true when written in 1989. Unfortunately and tragically this song resonates with the same hard hitting truth that it did back then today. Where are they now? Lost. Demoralized. Depressed. Don't give up hope. This music, AOR, I mean cuts really deep and I love it a whole lot more than metal thank you.

I don't know why, but original videoclip from Strangeways is very very dificult to find, in fact, i don´t find anyone, only goodnight la, and the quality is not good....what a shame....onde of the best band's.... Thank you so mutch....this is what i like to call MUSIC :)
