I think because having loose hands makes footwork more fluid. Look at bare knuckle where’s these guys hands are tightly taped shut, you can really tell the difference in loose hands to having room to open and close the hands in the glove.

😂 Me, I was thinking duct tape. That's what we always use at my other spot. For everything. Cuz the damn velcro Especially on 4-7 oz gloves and shin guards.

Not really. The wrist padding and protection is different on a lace glove so it is still tying the laces around and giving you pretty much same feel as a lace glove

Your right it was last gloves but There is no real benefit to the strap on your gloves when we got tap or just tire it right
