I feel like its super important understanding the vibe, atmosphere, intensity, feeling, management when joining anything. So right off the bat, I hope and imagine ANYONE would love to join your guys gym. Hell as a 23yo with an open mind to what I want to do, I wouldn't mind joining you guys and...just help build the gym, to eventually work out there. That's how comfortable you have displayed yourselves. Anyone anxious or they think lesser of themselves I feel would find themselves comfortable going here.

Also when you imagine that your oponent is closer or further away, you should bend more or extend your punches. That's something even professionals rarely do but I believe it's a good tip. Honestly even you in this video did that mistake cause those uppercuts were way too close to your face compared to other shots, it didn't look realistic

When I shadowbox I throw the punches like usual. Meaning open hands untill the last third of the punch, at which point I close them. Then release them on the way back again.

Manny Pacquiao prolly has a very bad habit and natural tendency of over tensing and he prolly shadowboxes like that to overcorrect it. A lot of drilling in martial arts are overexaggerations of the technique done repeatedly because trying to learn the over exaggaration is leads to learning the actual technique faster. Heck, karate has an entire drill dedicated to learning to use the opposite arm to pull to add more power to the actual punching arm. That is a genius drill since that is super hard to do and differentiates people with power and people without.

@Thoseboxingbros11 ай бұрын
Does you punch with your hands open when hitting bag or sparring?
@drak02ime8911 ай бұрын
@@Thoseboxingbros I would say ur right but u get more snap if u keep ur hand open and close fist at the point of impact. Ig it’s fundamentally better to keep a closed fist but I would emphasize beginners not to clench their fists keep everything loose until point of impact. That’s why a lot of pro boxers shadow box open hand and closed fist point of impact just like when they hit the bag it helps for speed and more snap therefore more power
