Oh man. About a year ago I bought the endmill for my turtle after watching this video. Just last month I sold it on eBay and bought an angus jubilee... the endmill is so much better suited for this watch. I miss my endmill haha.

Great video. Resulted in both me and my best friend getting the gold turtle with the strap codes

Sweet vid thanks. I pick up straight end versions of these to put on all my watches. Primarily because I have small wrists and the fitted end links are gorgeous but add 3, 4, 5 or more mm of lug to lug... Straight end is only as long as the lug width of the watch.

I have the oyster style with polished center links on my Alpanist. It is rock solid. Definitely worth doing!

What are your thoughts on seiko sumo ? Is it too big ?
@joshjamesyoutube5 жыл бұрын
Nico Suryo Hi there! I like the sumo a lot I think it’s a great looking watch. I think whether it’s too big comes down to how big your wrists are and if you mind it. It feels about the same as other Seiko divers though, so if you’re a fan of something like a Turtle or a Samurai, I think you’ll be fine with it. If you are concerned about size and can spend around $750 US, check out the SBDC051. That’s a really nice looking watch.

I currently own a seiko gen 4 monster and a sakura fubuki cocktail time, thinking about getting the sumo but im not sure about the sizing compared to a turtle. Thank you for your kind reply 😊

Thanks for the great video and info. I'm getting one for my sne 497. The original bracelet is horrendous. I'm gonna throw it away.

Nice review. I'm happy to get a cheap bracelet on a Seiko if the money has gone into the watch head. You said "solid gold"! It is gold plating and not solid gold... You need to use locktite on the screws otherwise they will work loose..
@joshjamesyoutube Жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I mean this with all due respect but I’m pretty sure most people can tell the “solid gold” note is facetious and just because of the color given that this is a cheap Seiko and maybe $500 all in… not even my Rolex is solid gold for north of $10K.

The stock Turtle bracelets are straight trash. I had 3 separate pins come out over the course of a year. 2 of them multiple times. Even had done at the dealers and every other day, it'd pop out again. Actually, I wont say bracelet, it's the pin/collar system. In my 30 years of being a watch enthusiast, this is the worst pin system ( and in turn bracelet) I've ever used. And I was a buyer for a big watch distributor where I came across 30+ brands. I've never experienced such terribly unsecure system.

You either got a defective bracelet or the dealer didn’t put the collars in properly. I’ve never had this experience with the bracelet and it’s something I’ve never even heard anecdotally in forums

@@mariog7213 You've NEVER heard bad feedback on the pin/collar set up? Really? I hear it all the time.

Oh my did u drop your watch? 😬

Sounds like your watch dealer lost all your collars because he didn't know what he was doing.
