We must be on the same wavelength because just this week I received the same Endmill bracelet for my blue SRP773 Turtle and found that it took all of five minutes to get it sized and mounted with no drama. What you'll notice about the Strapcode screws that hold the links together is that they are cleverly attached to the bar that runs through the link so even if they back out over time, they cannot be lost. That is pretty ingenious. The bracelet is an obvious improvement over the Seiko OEM piece. I was also a little surprised in that it doesn't feel much if at all heavier. In the end its a good replacement bracelet, a nicely made one for Seiko divers, and its well-finished. I didn't hear angels sing when I put the watch on my wrist for the first time with the Endmill attached, but I am pleased overall. I also got an Oyster style Strapcode bracelet for my SBBN031 Tuna and it too appropriately adds to the watch as a whole. Of the two, I think I prefer the Oyster style links, both for comfort (less chance of hair-pulling) and looks. Great, honest review as always, Aron!

+Lee K Yeah, we definitely share the same taste in watches. The screws are definitely unique! At first I thought I had snapped the top off the screw before I realized what was actually going on. It was very easy to size like you point out, and fits the watch lugs perfect! I'll probably pick one up down the line for some others. Happy Friday my friend!

I’m an original owner of a 6309-7049 turtle. Bought it at the Newport Navy Exchange in 1982. It has been serviced once…..still very accurate. When needing to replace the strap, I’ve always ordered it direct from Seiko (Z-22). I just ordered my fifth Z-22, and I swear, it’s more “plasticy” [sic]! And the buckle was cheaper, too. (Something else to place the blame on Covid!). But that oyster looks phenomenal on that watch…..it really jazzes it up! BTW, is that an original bezel? The numbers appear almost amber….maybe the natural patina? Nice video, amigo….very well done! I wonder….how many of us out here in KZbin land aren’t ordering one based on your review? Bravo-zulu….on a value-added video!

Just did the exact mod with the exact strap. I found that the Strapcode link pins did not fit the holes correctly. The Seiko ones have a slightly smaller "tip" and worked better.

I think that so called OYSTER STYLE BRACELT is called the PRESIDENT I have that one & I feel it's quite heavy.
@brynybach77417 жыл бұрын
Probably the weight difference could be due to your new bracelet being tapered where your old one is just straight.
@legendsend35204 жыл бұрын
Im considering this for my orient kamasu. The original bracelet has hollow end links, functional but cheap looking clasp (which it is tbf) plus push pins... This looks like a decent alternative.

Just got my reissued "Arnie" Snj027 ( Pepsi bezel version ) and after deliberating for over 2 weeks, I decided on the Strapcode brand Super Engineer II because it looks better than the Hexad . ( in my opinion). The Hexad just doesn't grab my attention in the same way. Btw, I almost purchased from Strapsco but they use pins instead of screws in the bracelet design/construction, and about $35-40 cheaper.

Isn't that the Gerber "covert" folder ? I think the combat folder is the same knife but larger.
@OFD6 жыл бұрын
No, it's the full size model. The covert is about an inch shorter. It looks small in the video. "That's what she ssid"😂😂 Thanks for tuning in!

Aron Dunlap I have the combat folder, it's a beast of a knife. I also have an assisted covert but its just not as special as the combat. Nice video by the way, I have the super oyster on my SKX007, the lock latch on mine was very loose but a little pinch with some channel lock pliers solved it.

the engineer bracelet is heavier cause its more metal on it. thicker aswell.

You can clearly see in the video that the Endmill has more taper. It's a 22mm lug to 18mm clasp, whereas the Engineer is a 22mm lug to 20mm clasp. The reviewer is not too bright it seems.

Note to anyone: Use Loctite on the screws! I almost lost my watch because of a screw coming loose while running.
@OFD7 жыл бұрын
River Hart Did you use blue loctite? I do a lot of off roading and Hiking. Thanks for the comment! 😊👍
@riverhart20327 жыл бұрын
I used purple, which is a step below blue. Purple prevents the screws from coming out from vibration, but blue is probably the better choice for a more active life style. Don't forget to use primer too; loctite doesn't like stainless steel by itself.

I have the Super Engineer II for my SRP775, thinking about getting the Super Jubilee Two-Tone. Currently have it on a natural veg tan leather one piece strap. Great video. Also been thinking of getting the Oyster style for my SKX007. I had been doing some digging, I was trying to find out who made the first metal bracelet for a watch. Like what company first had metal bracelets as an option for a watch.

Only wankers care about what knife you use to open a package. Keyboard warriors hammering away on their keyboards as their mom reheats their hotpockets in the microwave. Real men just tear it open with their bare hands. Also you should use a proper plier-style springbar tool for metal bracelets. The single-end tool is just for leather, rubber and NATO straps.

So you don't care about the knife 😂😂
