Your gaming videos introduced me to more mindful turn based strategy games like Pillars of Eternity and Shadowrun and made me open my eyes to what a game could really be. I’ll always respect you for staying true to self and making the content that speaks to you. HOWEVER, if you had decided to put more energy into your political commentary, or even half-ass it like most of these guys and go the grifter route, you’d be out of the stratosphere by now. You truly have a mind for nuanced opinion and an eye for the subtle pains and banality of the human experience. Hey, glad you decided to focus on school, and I appreciate the comment. Now, I'm gonna address the politics thing because I almost did go down the grift rabbit hole. Very early on I was making rhetorical videos about political subjects that I found weren't getting any nuanced discussion. At the time, I didn't have a fully formed political view on things, and if I went down that hole, I imagine I would have cringed even more at my old content. Lately, my leanings are pretty extreme. I don't fit into either political party at this point because neither of them actually care about doing the right thing, and I think my current views would turn off about 90% of people who watch me. So I just don't talk about what I believe, but, I have thought about starting a second channel, masking my voice, and doing my political rants there, because I do believe I have something to add to that space.I just don't want the doxing, the swatting, and shenannigans that go along with it. Believe me, the money that floats around political content was a big tempter, especially when I am making just above minimum wage on youtube, right now. We'll see how the future goes, but thank you for the well wishes. I appreciate it.

At first it seemed completely alien, going from pathfinder and d&d to the rouge trader system. But now that I've played with it I have to say it is so much more engaging and fun. Big numbers make percentage boosts so much more interesting than small ones, which almost every other rpg out there tends to use. I really hope owlcat does more games with this system, and in this setting. 40k is rich in potential, and that's not even addressing stuff like old world fantasy or even AoS or 30k. Please owlcat. Please keep this system.

I can't find where to get most of the items you mention in the gear section. I also tried searching online for them, and not even the Rogue Trader wiki knows where to find them (eg, Death Cult Power Blade, Condensed Carapace, Voidborn's Pride). I think the Executioner's Gauntlets are a faction reward?

You can find a lot of great weapons for her in the merchant shops. Can't remember where I got the blade, but there are so many better ones you find along the way to be honest.

@@Dzugoslav I mean, yeah, when I played melee psy (and I did a few times), I wanted to have a good psy-sword, and it's a shame there's only 3 of them (1 heretic-coded) in the game, on the other hand when you use that second basic one from a puzzle, but combine it with items and talents that enhance force swords/melee psy, it can still work very well (better yet to dual wield a force sword and some normal one for other benefits), if you also stack your psy rating to 20+ and get willpower bonus to dmg, it becomes QUITE DEADLY, add to it casual application of Sword of Faith spell that stacks with force sword, and it's a killer. But yeah, the heretical one is better, I'd love to see more, though normal melee weapons on psy look good too

@@Dzugoslav Yeah, it looks perfect for it, I wanted to do blade dancer psyker run, either bio-pyro (if executioner) or maybe bio-divination or bio-sanctic if blade dancer + assassin (it seems to have just as good if not better synergy than with executioner, if we stack AGI to high heaven and just delete everything in one hit). I'm worried that these archetypes are ability heavy though, and so is psyker, but with older classes I knew what to forgo and what to pick, I'll have to theorycraft again and make it work properly (I'll propably just run some old save, respec, check how can I build it to be strong enough/what order of abilities/talents fits it well, then start a new game and do a similar build, but with some situational changes)

Imagine Death from Above with Malpian Shroud turbobonuses (if you didn't give it to Abelard). I'm jumping around with my Bladedancer psyker, and he one-shots everything just with buffed up Death from Above, only bosses get to enjoy other types of hits ❤ Edit: oh, and there is another good cloak that specifically works with Death from Above - it adds mental dmg aoe to it based on your resolve or willpower (forgot which one), you can then run as a melee psyker bladedancer, take some psy talents that proc extra dmg on mental dmg, jump around and deal all the normal dmg + mental dmg + second instance of mental dmg + some other procs you can add via your psyker equipment, it's crazy OP, I think Owlcat has broken this game with that DLC, Unfair became easy mode now, I think they'll nerf it soon, same as they did Officer, Navigator, and many other after first release build

@@StratEdgyProductions personally, I did a biomancy psyker with warrior and assassin as my RT, doing a heretical playthrough. I wouldn't say it was optimal but it worked. I might have to go through it again and use executive instead because if you throw pyromancy on top of biomancy with executioner, and honestly warrior or bladedancer, it would make a fantastically sadistic chaos murder boi.

How about skill point into drukhari weapon proficiency? A lot of their weapons give poison. If dealing just bleed is this good, both seam busted. Also can someone tell me how dual wielding damage is calculated? When using abilities like blade dance, does the damage from off hand weapon count?

Bladedancer/Assassin is better. You can just kill enemies in this game, no need to DoT them. Just strip armor with operative and unload. Also, assassin's weak spot switches 180 degrees to other side after an attack, which is where Death from Above comes in. You just jump over to the weak side over and over again. But that's like level 20 territory, later it's ridiculous.

Hmm. My only problem is too many characters and too few party slots. Maybe it's time to retire Idira. She's basically just acting as an extra sniper. Can't say Abelard or Heinrix have impressed me as melee fighters and they're awful at shooting.

There's a few setups where Heinrix will do well over 300 damage, unbuffed, with his force sword. He's really good if specced correct.
