Video of Village Earth's strategic land planning initiative on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Sponsored by the Native run Indian Land Tenure Foundation, the initiative was focused on educating Native land owners on the options that exist for consolidating and utilizing their fractionated and undivided lands on the Reservation. This problem is a direct outgrowth of the U.S. General Allotment Act of 1887. This act divided Indian lands into individual individual allotments across the United States and imposed a European-style land tenure system on what was before, communally managed lands.

That’s amazing recovery efforts to gaining use of their lands near were I live the natives are doing this too but a bit differently strong 12 leaders are always working together to get their lands to working for them. They have their own government, law enforcement(thank goodness they do, no telling what would happen to them all with 1,650 plus Gangs in my area).

Hundreds of geodomes would solve food problem. Other builds: food dehydrator, housing on rez closest to regular American cities, metal snow and rain catchment system water reservoir, grain silos, community kitchen and serve food 3 times a day, thousands of chicken coops, rabbit pens and breed rabbits, indoor aquaponics systems for food, slaughter house for buffalo jerky business. Goat house for milk and food. Get US gov to donate used steel barrels for metal art projects. Get sewing machines and deer hides donated for making mocs and buckskin clothing.

I am headed to the Pine Ridge Oglala-Sioux Reservation in July to run a natural building workshop teaching how to build homes from natural and waste materials, the house will be made from pallets and in filled with light straw clay, an earthen plaster will be applied on the interior and exterior of the home, I am looking for volunteers, and I am taking 8 apprentices to learn this method of home building, for more info click my name and go to my website, see you there!!

Guy mentioned leased acreage outside of rez is worth 32 an acre and 8 bucks on rez. Wow! Seems like Tribes could combine farm able land into contiguous tracts so outside farmers could lease larger tracts. Renegotiate the acreage price to like 15 bucks an acre or more because of the profits of large acreage farming. Just a thought. Then build 4 bedroom fenced houses on 1 acre tracts on rez complete with geodomes, water catchment, etc. and closest to major outside city so Tribe members could have a chance at a job. Build a community that is self sufficient. Invest in a bank. etc.

Most don't. This is still the modern corporation of the United States. This video simply shows what sovereign dual citizens have to do. To utilize land allocated and rightfully owned by that person. The allotted and ceded territories as it stands in United States documentation. Is only a piece of the area where the indigenous used to nomatically migrate around on. Amongst other tribes and clans. Which yes they did from time to time war with but. Mostly trade and mind out. So to clarify. Most don't want or care to understand land ownership. The hoops of bureaucracy are still there. Even if all that is strived for is to go back to the tipi and live off the land. Still need to do it legitimately. Just because you believe taxes are theft. Which they are. Doesn't mean you don't have to pay them. Don't pay property taxes. See what happens. Just like. A vehicle. It leaves the factory with a vin. You purchase it from a dealer. Why pay for a license plate? You have a receipt from future ford. It has the vehicle identification number. Why the plate? Laws. Hoops. Bureaucracy. Legislation. Corporate hierarchy. Besides. If you were told you owned land. Wouldn't you want to figure out how to use it legally? This video is showing a group of people helping people to learn how.

@@jonanderson4474 Thanks for the long winded attempt at an explanation. Your argument is flawed and not sustainable. How would a society/community live off the land in 2020? The culture of the native squatters is a dead culture, it has evolved as far as it possibly could. The people of this culture are a conquered and defeated people and will remain so. The sovereign dual citizen is a myth and cannot exist in a modern post-hunter/gatherer warrior society. This single sided issue of looking to the past to reconstruct a sustainable and viable lifestyle that must be subsidized by white civilization is a HUGE TRAP THAT. Natives must SEE THROUGH this trap and reject it collectively in order to move forward as a people, a people with a rich heritage yes, but a conquered people nonetheless. This is indeed a sad BUT irrefutable truth that must be accepted by the native before any progress is made in joining the 21st century and the modern American way of life. Any claim that taxes are illegal are incredible and must be brushed aside as spurious. The past is proof enough of this absolute fact. TAXES ARE HEALTHY AND REQUIRED for a successful civilization of 330 Million people (RED AND WHITE).

The Rez is an example of what happens when property rights are weak or non-existent. Poverty like this is common worldwide wherever secure property rights are lacking. Drugs, alcoholism, corruption or school-dropout rates are often blamed, but those are just symptoms. Prosperity is built on property rights, not a faustian bargain with a soul-less government that treats people like a permanent underclass.

..🦊...the land snatching is happening on the Flathead Reservation to ,...non-members own lake shore property’s and land at the base of the Mission range ,...just recently ask the tribal council to create a salvage yard for us to work in so we can take the outsiders possessions apart instead of stomping their heads in and chasing them off,..like we should ,...every suicide issue is traced back to the outsiders ,...fire all council members ,....we need distance from the outsiders,...the influence is 8 non tribal members to one member ,....if the outsiders had any amount of respect for a dying race of people’s,..they wouldn’t be living here ,....simple behavior state’s it all,...🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
