Smooth U-boat game! At 18:00 you had the chance to build the road upwards and effectively stop green from building his road any longer. Would it not have been safer to make that block, rather than connect, since you could always connect but green had the chance then of extending the game (maybe even allowing red to catch up in roads?)

Why is green not taking the brick port on his first pick? He'd have the same production points

Well played port strategy game. I think this is a strategy that gets discounted by many of the top players, but it can be extremely strong since it gives the ability to create any card you need when you need it, and race for army or road. Especially when you can get three strong numbers supporting your port like you had here, then you are also unblockable.

Hey, Joe. I agree, I think the most important aspect of this strategy is just identifying when to is the strongest option and not just seeing one big cluster of resources and jumping on it without considering other options. thanks for the comment.

5 6 8 9 10 those are some good starting numbers. Good spot on the access to the synergetic ports :).

Great game, commentary and pace of video. Thought you played the port strategy very well. Only thought I had was to take the 3 5 8 for a bit of ore, but more and alternative / preference.

Not the most efficient road building plan at the end. Too many branches. Great game nonetheless!
@catanstrategywithizzwan22154 жыл бұрын
There was a lot of branches I agree, but I definitely think it was important for me to get 8 points before I took road so I wasn't targeted by the robber if I took road when I was on 7 to get to 9 I would have been targeted.

@@catanstrategywithizzwan2215 Yeap, you are probably right. It is more aesthetically pleasing though to have a branch-less road. It also ensures that you'll not lose a prolonged road race, after running out of roads.
