What a beautiful arrangement. VOCES8 make singing so natural.

This is my favorite version of "Send In The Clowns", and one of my favorites from Voces8. Katie does such a magnificent job of playing the part from the musical.

Most lovely rendition I’ve heard of this piece. Hasn’t been a favorite, but that was just soaring!

Great channel! I LOVE Voces8. I hope I'll catch a live performance one day - might be worth a trip overseas! Has anyone suggested that you take a look at Voctave? They're amazing too. My introduction to them was their "Disney Princess Melody", and I was a mess afterward from crying. Try "Somewhere" too, which they released a few months back. Acapella groups are the bomb.

I've heard them twice, once in a large church and once in a cathedral. I always wondered if the sound was augmented or real. It was ALL real, no amplification, and the sound was better than I heard on KZbin. They travel to North America frequently. If you go to their web site, they publish their upcoming concert schedule. Both times I made long drives, and it was absolutely worth the trip!

Whatever it takes, it's worth the trip. I've seen them 4 times, from a small church to the magnificent Basilica St Louis, and each time it was breathtaking.

For me, the triplets against the duples, then the contrast of the homophonic section, and the soprano harmony above the melody all combine to make this arrangement really interesting. It’s hard to improve on Sondheim, but this is pretty great!

I am perhaps Voces 8's most fervent fan, yet this piece is one that I come back to only occaisionally. Usually I truly enjoy Clements arrangements but this one I keep coming back to trying to understand it. For all of you counters out there, try this one: Cantate Domino by Monteverdi ; kzbin.info/www/bejne/mV69dnd_mpt8nrssi=zAYGBz4Bpxie6ei5. The Voces 8 Foundation has started a new group, composed of upper voices, 6 young women. The group is called Lyrra. here is their first offering; When The Earth Stands Still; kzbin.info/www/bejne/hou3nmhnfpWArcksi=nTo8jaUXbkd8CZA1.

I wondered how the 8 (yes I counted!) of them could pull off Faures requiem!! They are amazing!

Great singing and arranging. Interesting how they do it. And thats it for me. These signature, dramatic songs needs the "broken tear" in the throat, and a life. Judy Collins and Barbra, Frank, Sarah Vaughan, Shoshana Bean....they touch me.

My favorite singer of Sondheim is Bernadette Peters but that was stunningly beautiful.

A majestically beautiful rendition of a wonderful song .... and yet; it doesn't work for me. In the quality of singing it beats the broadway/Westend versions by miles, but the (acted) anger, disappointment, acceptance, and sorrow performed with a breaking voice by great stage actresses - who not necessarily need to be great singers - can pierce your soul in a way no perfect rendition can do.
