this is the only thing from reddit's suggestions that is 50000% worth the hype :) i feel like this/stratias products should get all the hype that cerave does. also the ingredients ratio is similar to that of epiceram (rx product for atopic dermatitis/barrier repair) so its not just empty hype! i'm on tretinoin and have pretty sensitive and dry skin and my skin looooves this.

Honesty I’ve tried most “healing” k beauty products such as centella, mugwort etc to alleviate the inflammation when using an acid and tretinoin on alternate days of course. Nothing helped, until I discovered liquid gold and rewind both from Stratia. Just 1 pump as my last step in the evening is enough. I love it

Wow, I totally forgot about this product, and I used up a whole bottle in 2019. Great review! Unfortunately, this did nothing for me, if memory serves, probably why I forgot about it, my face still had peeling and dryness from the hospital air I work in. Have found products that work much better for me. Also, as you probably know, oleic acid is from olive oil, which can actually draw moisture away from the skin.

Hi Sarah I really want to try this and some other statia products for my dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. Shipping to the UK is £15 or around $20 for any order under £125 (around $145), so it's A LOT and really increases the price of this line. I might get it with a few other things, but the shipping has put me off trying it sooner. I think the shipping is excessive tbh - look at geek and gorgeous shipping from Europe to the US - it's a lot less the opposite way. The whole line seems to be targeted at sensitive skin, which is appealing to me. The other issue is it's a lot of coin if my skin reacts to it and if I love it and want to repurchase regularly. That's why I haven't tried it, I hate paying excessive shipping as I know many people do. Best wishes.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Hear hear. Preservatives are useful. Why? Without them, mold and mildew becomes an issue. I have used a hyped natural baby shampoo body wash combo for a number of years. Then I stopped and used something else to solve a skin issue. After that, I returned back to the same bottle of baby wash and to my disbelief I developed pink - eye. Weird right? Well, I did. And gross. So I still use the same brand. They changed the formula during my use of the one bottle. But I have learned not to keep products for so long.
@NOBSBeauty3 жыл бұрын
A few weeks ago I was going through the FDA's Online Reporting and it does seem like natural brands have more issues with mildew and mold, which isn't an issue if the products are used right away, like you mention, but so many people just don't think about it. I wish preservatives didn't get such a bad rap because it is a potential crisis if consumers demonize each and every preservative ingredient we might be left with nothing, and that will mean all of our products will have a shelf life of 2-3 months max.

I bought TWO because of the reviews on Reddit. It contains Ethoxydiglycol and it is very irritating to my skin. Ethoxydiglycol is commonly used in Vitamin C serum, which I avoid due to increased sensitivity. I am not sensitive to ascorbic acid itself just nasty Ethoxydiglycol.
@brentleonards17353 жыл бұрын
How did you come to that conclusion?

@@brentleonards1735 Because it is the 3rd ingredient and I never had reaction to Skinceuticals Vitamin C (European version) that doesn't use Ethoxydiglycol. I don't have reaction to Vitamin C serums at high concentration suspended in silicone vehicle. Plus my dermatologist concluded that.
@Vegard19863 жыл бұрын
@@Batman-qu9or No because Skinceuticals (US version) and Timeless were the only serums I had reaction. So my derm and I assumed it was the common Vitamin C reaction. However when I tried this moisturizer I had a reaction. I never react to Niacinamide or Rose or Seabuckthorn oil. I am not sensitive to propylene glycol. Furthermore, I tried The Ordinary Vitamin C in silicone and no reaction. I tried powdered Vitamin C and When Hope Is Not Enough serum where you mix two together and I had no reaction.

Cetyl Alcohol is probably the big culprit there- some people have skin that this ingredient does not work well with. That would be my guess and the other runner up would probably be vitamin E- which works fine for some people but causes breakouts for others.

I've got two that I use and love- for a while they were available at Sephora and Nordstrom, but now they are harder to get and I'm not sure if it's a safety thing or what. The Tria Age Defying Smoothing Laser- www.triabeauty.com/products/smoothbeauty-laser and the other one (this one hurts more!) is the Illuminage Skin Smoothing Laser- it is here- www.amazon.com/iluminage-Anti-Aging-FDA-cleared-Smoothing-Laser/dp/B00RXZHZK8 The Tria doesn't hurt much, just stings a little bit, while the Illuminage does hurt, but is great for lines around the eyes and mouth. I bought both of these about 4 years ago and both are still working just fine. Not sure why the Illuminage became so hard to find, especially in the US, but I think both of them are helping with fine lines and wrinkles and IMO were worth the price hands down.
