I found this to be an outstanding product and would highly recommend it based upon my experience. I have always had highly sensitive skin, intolerant to many well known and respected products... Cerave products for example would cause stinging to my face. Stratia Liquid Gold has been my holy grail for 3 years... For me it has been truly tried and tested. My skins moisture barrier improved dramatically to a point I was able to introduce other products such as niacinamide and finally tretinoin... unthinkable before I began using this product. I layer Stratia, then tretinoin followed by Illiyoon ceramide Ato. A brilliant combination I have found with definite long term positive results. Your video review I would highly expect could not be comparable to someone who suffers from long term skin sensitivity resulting in significant moisture barrier damage. Individuals with this condition would obviously be able to better review the benefits of this product as opposed to those who do not. Obvious and visible results for myself occurred after one month and continued, then expediated after the incorporation of niacinamide. It should not be expected to be used as a stand alone moisturizer. The benefits of using this product have been widely established by the many anecdotal positive testimonials. As you said... the basic ingredients are good... Cholesterol, fatty acids and ceramides.

So early! Dr. Dray, could you do an honorable mention in one of your videos talking about a beauty hack I've read about? I read people are using Desitin as a spot treatment for acne because of the high concentration (I think it's 20%) of zinc in it. I also read a blog where someone slept in zinc-only sunscreen and used it as a treatment product. I personally would not do that but the Desitin thing I might would try. I know it's kind of wacky but I thought it would be an interesting topic. I see a lot of these weird beauty hacks online, like sleeping with slathered petroleum jelly on your face.

Am i understanding correctly that you feel that the best thing for skin is moisturizing while your skin is still damp and sunscreen, suncreen, suncreen for the daytime and then moisturize at night after you wash your face (while skin is damp so as not to lose moisture) and then air dry, apply renin-a. All the serums, and claims that vitamin C make, eye creams, vitamin C ...and all the other topicals really aren't doing much? Keeping it simple is the best thing for our skin and aging? I looked into rosehip oil and couldn't find good data supporting the claims for its being rich in antioxidants. The fruit has them but the oil might not have but trace amounts and Vit. A was only observed in oil of one species, which is not the species used in most products. I was surprised to learn this, which is why I like to rely on the science not the circulated myths or rumors of products. Retinol is weak, but in comparison, rosehip oil's supposed profile of retinoic acid (which again would need to be tested because it would vary between species and product) is almost nothing. The fatty acids seem to be the more important components of this oil.

Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks for another great video. I briefly used the Hada Labo Plumping Gel Cream many years ago when Asian Beauty was just getting started. It was OK, but mainly a thick hyaluronic acid cream and I never bought it again. After watching your skincare routine with Retin-A and thinking about how often you use it, I thought about giving it a try again. When I looked at it on Amazon, I was shocked to see all the additional ingredients that are now in it; including ceramides and collagen, arginine, squalene, etc. etc. They have completely reformulated it since I used it and I’m definitely going to try it again. No wonder you like it so much! I’m curious...are there any known benefits of applying collagen topically? Also, there’s a Hada Labo Gokujun Premium Hyaluronic Solution that has 5(!) different types of hyaluronic acid (the Plumping Gel has 3) that are supposed to provide hydration at various depths of the skin due to the difference in their molecular weights. What are your thoughts about this? It’s getting rave reviews. Thanks for indulging my inquisitive mind! 😁

Good to know ceramedx can be a good alternative--I already use it on my body and love it, so I'm excited to learn it can be used on the face! Thanks for your thoughtful review, as always~

Dr. Dray just want to double check.....so if a tube of mineral sunscreen stays in a hot car, will it maintain effectiveness? Thank you! I thought I was diligent with sunscreen before Dr. Dray, but now I'm totally obsessed!!😁

i cant say for sure as no one does spf testing before and after hot car incubation

Dr. Dray, marathon watching your videos and catching up 😊 Congrats on crossing 100K subscribers -- Woo-Hoo !!! (I joined back when your channel had around 9,000). Great review ! Thanks once again for saving me $$ 😉 Btw, with the increased humidity upon us here in H-town, any recs on keeping the oily t-zone under control ??!! Have a great week ! 😊

Hope you are doing well! The humidity is creeping up. The zapzyt 2% salicylic acid face wash to the t-zone areas can help cut down on sebum. S

Hola Dr Dray, what do you recommend for cleansers that exfoliate? I've been using St Ives Apricot scrub but in one of your last videos I believe I heard you say it's a no no! I have stopped using it and need to know what I should be using? I'm in my 50's. Thank you in advance
@DrDrayzday6 жыл бұрын
ditch that scrub; zapzyt bha face wash, avoiding around the eyes/nose/mouth, and follow w/ fragrance free moisturizer

Aloha Ms Andrea! I have tried the Ceramedx Restoring Lotion and really liked it. But i do prefer the Cerave better! I think once i run out of my Cerave PM I’ll try using my Cerave Moisturizing Cream from head to toe. 😬 Great review today! Always appreciate your knowledge!! 🤙🏻❤️

Dr. Dray- I see that you didn’t list hempseed oil in the description box. I know there are so many carrier oils out there and it’s not possible for you to list all of them. But I am curious to know your opinion on hempseed oil usage for sunscreen removal? I remove it with a gentle face wash afterwards. Thanks!

not much data for that, which is why it is not included in the list

Hi Dr. Dray, I have always mixed jojoba oil with my nightime moisturizer as I find that it helps to stop water from evaporating away throughout the night. Is it okay to do this while using differin? Thanks!

Thankyou Dr. Dray! I've been hoping you would review LG. I've used it and liked how it soothed my skin. My only gripe is I wished it were a bit thicker, more cream like bc I needed something on top. I'm really interested to try the Ceremedix lotion and Cosrx Rice mask...how do those 2 compare?
@DrDrayzday6 жыл бұрын
they are better than the lg...ceramedex is thicker than the rice mask

Thanks for the review, I was wondering about this product. Love your videos, switched my son to cerave cleanser and then I have him use the vanicream lotion on his wet face and neck and his eczema has gotten so much better. Plus he is a teenager so the less you ask him to do the more likely he is to do it,lol! Have a great day!

Hi! I've read that you should generally avoid combining oils with a retinoid. I am currently using Epiduo Forte as well as Liquid Gold. Should I discontinue the Liquid Gold and use a different moisturizer due to the oils in it? Thanks for the help!
@DrDrayzday6 жыл бұрын
it is probably not the best moisturizer to use w/ epiduo
@owenhenahan86586 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Would the ceremedx you mention be a better option, or do you have a better recommendation for something to use while on Epiduo? I appreciate the help a lot!

I use both differin and Stratia gold in my routine, simply use the Stratia with another gel/cream moisturizer and mix them together in your palms and rub them on your face. Apply differin 20 mins later. I also use rose hip in the morning.

Do you have a video discussing the difference between the most common skincare acids and how to choose the correct one for you? Are certain acids more beneficial for certain skin types and concerns or do they all do the same thing? (I think I remember seeing videos for each acid but I don’t remember seeing an all in 1 video where you discus them all, compare them to one another and their differences)

Does green tea have to be specifically formulated for skin care or is it something you could steep on your own and apply like a toner before moisturizer? I drink a lot of green tea, so if I can kill two birds with one stone I am all for it.

I have a dumb question. So, we're supposed to put on a shotglass or some guideline of sunblock for our face. Does that guideline also apply to highly fluid sunscreens? It becomes a bit much when applied in large amounts. Thanks!!!

the recommendation is based on a cream vehicle, so hard to say with the liquids, as they are thinner and spread more readily
