Fender pickups like the Fat 50s has a nice glassy clean sound but can also have a nice mild fuzzy over driven tone in some of the nuances. It’s like a good wine tasting with several flavors going on.

Could be using a noise suppressor pedal, it is a cool pedal, unfortunately I removed it from my pedal board because even though it makes an excellent job removing the noises, it also shortens the sustain and I also feel like it compromises somehow the effects you may use. Now for recording with no noises, then the noose suppressor is wonderful.

Du hast stets einen so fabelhaften Sound und eine Musikalität in der Art wie du spielst. Richtig genial. Den Sound deines Brunetti Singleman fand ich aber besser. Eine Frage noch: wie gefallen dir die FAT 50s im Vergleich zu den Eric Johnson Pickups? Ich hatte in meiner EJ bis auf die FAT50s so ziemlich alles drin und bin immer wieder bei den EJ Pickups geblieben.

Harald Knobloch vielen dank! ganz im ernst: die eric johnson hat den besten sound aller strats. modern, vintage, clean unschlagbar. und das ist mein problem. ich hätte gerne eine gitarre auf masterbuilt-niveau, aber die eig so klingen sollte wie die eric johnson. ich hab mal die komplette elektronik in eine maple-neck-masterbuilt geschraubt. und der sound war weg :) - da sieht man wieder mal wie wenig aussagekräftig pickups alleine sind. oder hölzer... alles zusammen macht den sound. ich hätte somit gerne eine perfekte masterbuilt-eric johnson strat 😂😂🤩

Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Ich habe meine Eric Johnson nun 13 Jahre. Mittlerweile etwas gerelict über die Jahre, aber natürlich, zweimal neu bundiert und ein ABM Tremolo drinen. Und sie ist tatsächlich die beste Strat, die ich je hatte.

Romain Bousquet you can use any headphone. most important is to dial in the sound you want to have; if you dont get it right with adjusting mids, treble and presence, find another profile. just loading any profile never works (for me)

Hey mate - we have the same taste in pickups, on both strat and tele :) I was wondering if you like the Fat 50s more for their soul-y mids and lax spongey attitude, or the CS 69’s for their ultra tight and punchy bass, scooped mids, and clucky ultra-stratty behavior Either fat 50s or 69’s - i need to choose. Or perhaps a set up using both? they both sound incredible. Any thoughts u have would help

sorry. i have had 50ies strats with 69 in the neck which was a great. and i have played guitars with fat50s that could not be better. its all about the right combination of the guitar and its specs… i can live with all of them. if it sounds right

I had Kemper for a week, and it sounded horrible. I tried every single possible thing to make it sound good, but it was hopeless. I had to send it back. I have no idea how people get such good tones out of it. Mine sounded like crap.

mine too. when i bought it i switched through any preset and i wanted to send it back. found 2 profiles that were great and i play all the time. it comes down to the right profile. its notvan amp where youbcan dial in s sound…
