Very lovely tone... I have a '63 CS but mine came with Twisted Tele... After listening to your clip, I'm considering changing for a set of '63 if I can find one online.

Superb tone. Love the pickups, but don't understand why someone would buy a custom tele with the heavy relic (all beat up)??? To pretend it's old when it's not??? Why not just get one with great paint and relic it yourself with 50 years of playing???
@UnterlassAudio4 жыл бұрын
Juan A well, I don’t like to wait 50 years (who knows if i am still alive then 😂) - it’s just a matter of taste, like wearing jeans with vintage look and holes in it. and for me, a heavily treated neck without paint feels great imho. btw, my no1 guitar is a eric johnson strat. no relic.
@juana14834 жыл бұрын
@@UnterlassAudio Wow! You took the time to explain relicing to me. I think I understand now. I bought my 1st black on black Stratocaster in 1978 just 2 years after high school, but I wipe her down after every play. After 42 years, I'm sad to say no relic job!! That guitar cost me $299 out the door at Guitar Center San Diego which was a lot of $$$$ for a 19 year old, so I baby it!@ Lately my favorite guitar is a James Taylor Gibson J-45 cutaway. Lol take care of yourself!!!!!

Just bought a lightly relic-ed tele. It has EVERYTHING I was looking for in a tele, the relic job icing on the cake. I love the vibe/mood the relic puts me it. And at 65, I'm not gonna be around long enough to do it myself.
@julysevilla4 жыл бұрын
because just like you buy some worn jeans in the store or you're going to be 10 years using them every day, this is the same thing of taste. A greeting

A simple answer to this Juan, is that some people buy relic guitar as part of the whole aesthetic of it. For the same money, one could buy a shiny PRS Custom 24 because that's the aesthetic the buyer is looking for. As for me and the rest of players buying relic guitars is quite simply, for the same aesthetic reasons as well. So be kind and stop having negative thoughts about relic.
