Had the same issue. I reached out to people on forums and they would always point out.. "Your nut is binding.." "100% Its the nut.." No.. I cut my own nuts, my nut had 0 binding issues. So i went for locking tuners. Still did not solve it.. Was totally focused that there was something going on in the tremolo. You bought Schallers. Never tried those. But i did use Wilkinson locking saddles. Which locks each string on the saddle. Now i had a completely stable tuning. I could divebomb the thing and it would come back completely in tune. So something is happening in the tremolo. Still have not figured out where.. I probably never will know. So it is pretty much in the tremolo. I have a Strat with a Callaham bridge. Same thing. Wont stay in tune. But if the strings have been on for a while it becomes more stable. I can whammy it hard and it remain in tune. On fresh strings.. No deal.

I think the nut and tuners make little difference it is inherent in the bridge design. Ideally you want saddles fixed on the base plate and a separate rear section where only the string moves but that doesn’t exist . People focus to much on diving there are ways to tune your guitar where it will never ever go out of tune on a dive but it will go to poop on a bend or pull up. Same technique can be used for bend and pull up,but you will never get all 3 (bend, dive, pull up) to work.

It sounds like you may need to adjust the tremolo springs. Not sure if you’ve messed with that yet but it could help
