I don't blame the little girl for being mad at Joseph for taking the umbrella. She's already giving up toys that matter to her even if she doesn't play with them anymore because they hold good memories, so the theft of the umbrella is just aggravating the feelings already there. Empathy isn't always an in-born ability, and she only just realized it's a good thing when she saw the orphans treasuring the toys like she had done. But it didn't connect to her that the umbrella can have the same effect in a person with an even deeper reason to want it then simply playing with it.

I was moved by this. I remember when I was in 1st-3rd grade my dad used to walk me to school and also came to get me after classes. I would still remember how we would teach me the "stop, look and listen" song and also shared many memories while walking. During my 4th grade I told my dad that I wanted to walk on my own now. There was one time that I forgot to take my umbrella with me. That afternoon, rained poured and I was so worried that I can't go home but there was my dad, he came with another umbrella with his hand. That was one of the moments in my life that I cannot forget. Sadly, my dad passed away when I was in 7th grade. Now, everytime that it rains, I would remember that memory of my dad with his umbrella. I miss him so much. ☔☔😭😭😭

He started his healing journey when he chose to talk about his childhood and release the pain of abandonment associated with that symbol. The girl was a mere trigger in the process. The moral is ....Unless we choose to be vulnerable no one can peek inside us. The problem is, we believe vulnerability and honesty will refresh our old pain but its quite the opposite. It heals. The loss of control (power of choice) in childhood is not the same in adult life so why should our defence mechanisms be the same? ... By choosing to embrace his grief...what initially was a symbol of painful memories for the boy becomes a source of joy and a tool to help others in later life. That was beautiful! If you have gone through this...know that you are loved and forgiven.
@edenalexandriab91203 жыл бұрын
I have a question for you: do you want to go to Heaven? Here's another: WILL you get there? Let me tell you 1. Whether you will go there and 2. If you find you're not on your way there, I'll tell you how to get there. Only two kinds of people get to Heaven: perfect people, and forgiven sinners. What is perfect? Well, not stealing regardless of how insignificant it may seem, not saying a single evil word against anyone - not to mention God sees our thought life. Notice something? God's intent for us APPEARS to be the exact OPPOSITE of human nature and desires! The Bible says, we're "born into sin" and "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23 After the first sin in the Garden, when Adam and Eve obeyed Satan rather than God, Satan took over our hearts and desires, making them inclined to sin rather than perfection. God has set aside a day where all who have done evil will be brought to justice - God sees all evil and intends to do away with it permanently. BUT: God is love. He doesn’t want to see His children cut off from Him, He wants to forgive them. But if a judge let off a murderer in court Scott-free, that would be corrupt. God couldn’t simply leave evil unpunished, but because of love He sent Jesus - His own Son - to take our punishment instead. He came down to live a perfect life without sin, conquering all evil. He was then sentenced to death on a cross. While on the cross, God poured out the anger and wrath of sin and evil on His Son - Jesus paid OUR fine of damnation. EVERY single evil thought, word or deed that doesnt line up with God' perfection, committed knowingly or unknowingly, Jesus took the complete, undiluted wrath for. Like a fine in court, Jesus paying It means we can go free and can experience God's love as all punishment was carried on the cross and crucified there for all who believe. He then rose from the grave on the third day, demonstrating His sovereignity, innocence and power over not just the sins and pains and temptations of this life, but DEATH. GOD HAS POWER OVER DEATH. You may be wondering why it isn’t done away with now - There will come a day when Jesus will return and those who belong to Him will rise from their graves and go to Heaven, and those who rejected His salvation, message and teachings, continuing in evil ways will suffer Hell to pay their fines for eternity without a second chance. There isnt a magic formula to remove pain but there IS a Person who wants to help you through it. He loves you deeply and is grieved at the evil in the world the only reason He has not come to remove all evil yet is because he wants EVERYONE to have a chance to know Him and be free from sin and guilt - He doesn’t want ONE to die. He wants everyone to be saved and have a crown of victory in Heaven. Jesus was tempted in every way we were (without sin), experienced abuse, pain and even loss. He can not only sympathise with you, but HELP you because he overcame through love and righteousness. How can you be free from guilt and sin? To enter into a love that will begin to heal you, walk with you and free you from the torment, He wants you to repent (turn away from sin and pursue God's PERFECT intent for your life, striving in the opposite direction like we were before the garden). He loves you and has plan for your life that involves freedom from fear, overcoming pain and a being a partaker of perfect love. He wants to recreate you from the pained brokenness into the perfect moral image of Him - just like before the sin in the garden. If you let Him take the wheel of your life He will maker you a true child of Him and allow any pitfalls (As Satan doesn’t take people leaving His camp lightly) to weave together to make you His and bring you back into that image. What if I still sin when Ive accepted Christ's death and resurrection on my behalf? Thats why Christ died. For your SIN. When God looks at you, striving towards Him or even falling, He sees the Christ’s righteous life in place of your current, sinful reality. For those striving away from sin, regardless of the pitfalls, God sees Jesus's victory in place of your inability, and His blood so yours will never have to be shed for your sin. Christ saved us, we just have to believe it by faith alone in Christ alone. The fruits of the spirit “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” and the desire to follow Him come from a true, maturing faith that produce a loving, obedient life overtime. God can and will work with even the slightest desire within you to follow Him and be free from sin. Even if you are struggling, unsure, need more faith or are simply willing to be MADE willing, ask for it x Where do I start to learn about God's plan and His promises to me? Well, Matthew and Luke are good chapters for reading about Christ’s life and our redemption. Do it in stages and imagine the events and miracles as they really happened - the Bible is a true account after all. And when - note it says WHEN, you struggle and fall on this lifelong process, know you can pray for forgiveness, dust yourself off again and get up because Jesus already bore our guilt and shame. If you take a step - just a step - towards Him, He will take a step towards you. Read through this prayer, get the gist of it and if you feel it reflects your desire, just say it - trust God and give it all to Him because He has the - perfect - master plan. YOU ARE NEVER TOO SINFUL OR TOO FAR THAT GOD CANNOT BRING YOU BACK HOME. Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and there is nothing that I can do to save myself. I confess my complete helplessness to forgive my own sin or to work my way to heaven. At this moment I trust Christ alone as the One who bore my sin when He died on the cross. I believe that He did all that will ever be necessary for me to stand in your holy presence. I thank you that Christ was raised from the dead as a guarantee of my own resurrection. As best as I can, I now transfer my trust to Him. I am grateful that He has promised to receive me despite my many sins and failures. Father, I take you at your word. I thank you that I can face anything now that you are my Savior. Thank you for the assurance that you will walk with me through the deep valley. Thank you for hearing this prayer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen xx

When you have something stolen by someone, it's probably because that thing is a thousand times more important to them than the actual value you own. You can give someone a small thing of yours, but for them it is a big thing, even changing their life. Life steals something valuable from you, at the same time it gives back something else special. In short, our mission is to give, not to save what has been lost

To an orphaned child, a possession belonging to the parent who is no longer present can have great significance. I later married a refugee too, ha, ha! Life can be beautiful. Here in this short film there are several meanings: “The family (which is a very important meaning for the child, as diaspora makes the child lose the tenderness and warmth of the family) .The short film also embodies the meaning: deprivation, poverty, pain, longing ... It is not easy to live an orphan, and it is not easy to live in poverty. The spectator remains only a spectator. Refugee children need more than that, they need warmth, security and food, but the umbrella here is a mystery for you to solve his code.

This made me cry... I wish the man turned back to visit his son every now and then, but ofc we don't know what happened to him. Maybe he died. I feel so sad for those families who have to part bc of the circumstances. It leaves a scar that no one can heal on the child. Thank you for this precious story.

A poetry written without words? Who needs words when the emotions speak for themselves? A little kindness shown which blossoms into a life long relationship! A shop to remember his Father and keep the memories fresh! A sentiment that makes him go looking for his father...after he himself has become an old man! An unforgettable movie!

Every element has a reason like rocks they may turn to dust when they end but that brings green life. Water makes everything pure and heals it. Air brings life through our breath. All that brings life when it finished it’s mission but fire it doesn’t stop unless something can cool it down, but still it brings life through it’s light. He was the 5th element and she was the last 4 so she made him stable( and it didn’t matter which element he was).
