One of my favorites from Billy Cobham, and I've never heard anyone do it better. Senri is truly a musicians drummer.

Wow, every video you upload from this show is better than the last one and this one is the BEST OF ALL. WOW!!! That was amazing!!! Those fills you were doing starting at 6:25 to the end of the song, you did them in perfect timing and you were so fast and smooth with it! That's world class playing right there! Jaw dropping stuff! I gotta watch this video again right now. Just too good, Senri! ~Vince
I could only dream of playing drums like that. she drums like a woman possessed by a god of music. its AWESOME!!!

It's funny to watch the other members of the band look over, more into Senri's playing than their own. Did they even know what they were getting into? :)

Senri-chan...your hard work and diligence has paid off. You are truly a world-class jazz drummer now. Always remember your Sensei, Kozo Suganuma...he has trained you well. I look forward to seeing you when you play in the US. I hope that, in addition to your career, that you do go on and attend university. You are a truly gifted and humble young woman.
@The_Story_Channel8 жыл бұрын
No offence but I would tell her to forget University. She can have a great and financially rewarding career as a drummer, of course that all depends on if she wants that. There is nothing wrong with obtaining a University degree but there is also nothing wrong with being a musician, especially when you are as good as she is.
@ShikataGaNai1008 жыл бұрын
Ken Crooks I have been a musician for 45 years, so I will stick with what I posted. Many working musicians have done some time at Berklee College of Music (Hiromi Uehara did it) or another high-caliber school. Many first-rate musicians have degrees...some even have a PhD. It is always good to have some backup. (BTW, I have several degrees, to go along with my musical stuff.)
@The_Story_Channel8 жыл бұрын
I don't have an issue with anything you have said however there are also a lot of musicians with no University degrees and they have done quite well for themselves. What it really comes down to is what Senri-chan wants to do with her life. As far as you being a musician for 45 years with several degrees go, I would say good for you, that is probably part of your bias towards University. I have only played blues harmonica for 30 years and only have a college education so I guess I don't really know what I am talking about. One thing I want to be clear to you about is that I am not against going to University however someone needs to want to do that for the right reasons.
@ShikataGaNai1008 жыл бұрын
Ken Crooks Just two ways of viewing the same thing. Neither way is right; neither way is wrong. Anyway, Senri will always have Kozo as her mentor...he will always steer her right. BTW, Senri has taken, and passed, her college entrance exams.

Quietest crowd ever. And most of them are only fixated on the lead guitarist, even when Senri's nailing a solo and the guitarist is twiddling on his fucking amp. Guess Tal Wilkenfeld's gotta wear a skin-tight shirt for people to start noticing the rhythm section.
