So beautiful!! My husband and I built a post and beam frame filled in with straw bales way back in 2001. I always wanted a round house, ...got an elongated octagon. What a labor of love this place is! Thanks for the tour!

I live in Maryland currently, I’m from Arizona where straw bale homes are more common than the east coast, not that they are common enough lol. We will be moving back somewhere southwest after my partner gets out of the military in 2 years. I’m looking around for land right now, trying to decide where is best to move, not too hot, has reliable water etc. So, long story sorry lol, I am very interested in learning all I can about the different ways people have built sb homes. This house is beautiful! What did you use for your inner walls? There are many options, I just love knowing people who have built their own home. I really am excited you have workshops as I will absolutely be looking at joining one. I have some questions about compost toilets too… if it’s still an option for someone that has medications in their system. I have some issues from something that happened in the military. I get infusions every six months as well as take oral medications. I know these drugs go back into the system anyway even tho I’m using city water and a normal…wasteful… toilet. So would a compost toilet still be ok to use? I wouldn’t use the compost on anything I eat of course. Thank you for a great video! I’m glad I found the channel today.

Thanks for your interest! I'm just the interviewer, but I can tell you we have two other videos coming out in the next week or two. The next one is about 25-minutes long and it is about the construction and best practices. You can also come to the PawPaw festival on September 21st and get a tour of the straw bale house. Here is a link with info on the festival: ecologiadesign.com/paw-paw-festival-longcreek-homestead/
