I tried this recipe and it turned out absolutely amazing! I left it in the warm water for about 4 seconds and it came out of the dish perfectly. My grand children loved it as well as my children, thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I noticed that there were quite a few thumbs down, the only reason that they could have possibly have given you a thumbs down is if they themselves did something wrong. I hope you realize this. Thanks again and have a great day.

This takes me back to my childhood, I can remember my Mom making this in 60's. We had a few Strawberry plants & it seemed like most desserts were made from Jello, Dream Whip & whatever else someone could come up with. Thanks for taking me back to being a kid!

I've made this many times. Some banana slices on top are great too. Mine is done slightly different because I just put it in a glass baking dish, put a few strawberries (sliced) into the mix, and then just add some more sliced strawberries on top. Also!! Very important... I always let the first bit set for 2 hours not 30 minutes. So that the jello has some chunks in it. My family absolutely loves it.

Can I use whipped cream? or does it have to be nondairy to hold up?
@marinafarid67225 жыл бұрын
Possibly needs a bit longer than 4 hours I put in fridge for four hours and then a little bit in hot water for about a minute and when I came to flip over the mould on plate it came out flat and unstructured, could it be I put too much cooking oil? Or just needed to leave it longer in fridge?

Apparently Southerners don't know their mousse from their elbows. I'm sure this is lovely dessert to take to the church picnic or to a family's home when a loved one has died but this is NOT strawberry mousse.
