Over the years, I did accumulate some toys, which my daughter has stolen, along with every trace of Rainbow Brite, Trolls and Fraggle Rock... among others. Was it planned for the two of you to brush your hair back at the same time and same motion? I had to go back and make sure that was what I saw. LOL

So, as a single parent, I think with them being there as I watched decades worth of old cartoons and TV shows, then going with me as I hunted down old toys... Hmm... I don't know much about Rainbow Brite, so I did a bit of research and learned that the original Rainbow Brite was first designed by artist G.G. Santiago. The products and characters were then developed by a team of artists at Hallmark in 1984. My guess is that Rainbow Brite and Star Stealer were designed to compete with Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears, both of which were produced by American Greetings. It looks like the artist G.G. Santiago went on to create figurines, jewelry, and other collectibles (besides her Rainbow Brite character.) They appear to be available on Ebay, but I don't see where she does personal appearances. That would be fun though!
