It's just amazing how deeply Nami cares for Luffy and his dreams! She would rather die trying to protect him and his dream than let someone say something bad about it. Her belief and trust in Luffy is just above anyone else I feel. (Of course Zoro has already shown he is always ready to die 'fighting' for Luffy) What makes Nami even more special is that she knows even if she can't fight or even when she knows she'd lose and just be killed, she never fails to keep her captain above her own life. Idk what this is, but I'm pretty sure about one thing, Nami and Luffy are emotionally closest strawhats and I just love whatever it is between them! I have always loved Nami and she never fails to surprise me with how much she deeply cares about Luffy! My favourite duo in One Piece ❤

I totally agree. It's full of scenes of her caring and being worried for the entire crew in general. She never puts on a brave facade to look badass like she's above the situation or emotions. I think she's the one who considers the Straw Hats a family the most. This scene is the peak of her character post Arlong Park. She was there from the beginning, she sees a guiding light in Luffy and her trust in him is almost religious, knowing also that her (and Usopp after) were the only two people Luffy gave his hat to.

Granted she was just told that Luffy was dead, but has anybody else noticed that since the time-skip, Nami has become increasingly worried about Luffy's well-being? It's subtle but she is the one that tends to react more to his predicaments and making sure she knows where he's at. Granted he's a massive magnet for trouble and they are dealing with some of the most powerful and dangerous forces in the world but I wonder if Ace's death and the ordeal that Luffy was put through because of it has made her genuinely fearful for his life despite the complete faith she has in him. Yes I ship them but I'm actually trying to dissect her reactions instead of seeing them as an instant sign of love like some people do.

The crew is her second family, a family that she will be with until the end. Luffy is pretty reckless everytime, that's because he believes in himself and can beat anyone stands in his way. I never think this woman is weak. Maybe in physical strength, she's the weakest among the crew in that term. Since she's normal human but she can take normal humans too. She was able to beat some stronger than averange humans too. She has mental strength. Her lack of physical strength was filled by others who was stronger. The crew filled each other's weaknesses, that's make them a perfect crew together. Theu have dynamics. Plus, Nami has other qualities and skills. Nami is not useless. The best navigator for the future king of the pirates. This woman literally know what's gonna happen by just simply noticing the weather, or change of the wind. She may be always charging the crew with money, for sure those money goes for something important. She always budgeting the money. For their clothes, foods that's enough for all of them so that they won't starve while sailing coz sailing can take days before you see an island. Also money for the ship, repairs, and stocks. Many people finds her annoying because of her attitude. But for me, what makes her nami is because of that attitude, her being, her whole self. But that doesn't mean she's a bad person.
