Nice Straw video, thanks for that Becky and yes car driving standards in this country are appalling, especially lane hogging, I always make the point of overtaking them in the 3rd lane and then going straight back into the left lane, hoping it might wake them up from their slumbers! 😂 fecking funny watching cars move over reminds me of my bus driver years. When you have driven big vehicles you have a better understanding for larger vehicles and room you need to give them. Glad I drive a van though mines adapted for my disability so no moaning about vans miss. 👍

I agree with what you say about driving standards 100% although, as a retired HGV I must confess that I do have problems with my car's mirrors. They just don't show what a truck's do! There again most cars today are smaller than mine and really don't need either space or mirrrors!

Great video, I'm a car driver and I have to agree with you Beaky, the standard of driving in this country is indeed attrocious, but this is certainly applicable across the board, motorbike riders, car drivers, a lot more truck drivers than is safe for everyone are extremely bad drivers,.. The biggest problem as I see it, is the fact that drivers are not taught adequately to start with, courtesy toward other drivers, how to behave around a large vehicle, and to drive on a motorway or missing, the British driving test is not fit for purpose,..

Uk car driver are bloody dangerous. I have always said that everybody should re test every 5 years. If you pass each time the government pays , if you fail you pay for your retest And anybody collecting to many point , that is it they never get a licence

I believe the driving standards of most car drivers is the same around the globe... they couldn't drive a greasy stick up a pigs a*se! It's all bout them and they have to be in front of a truck at any cost. They've no idea of braking distances for trucks or how much room trucks need to turn. Here in Tasmania I had three car loads of Asians come around a corner on the incorrect side of the road because they were looking at the scenery, my truck and I ended up off the road in the bushes, and they kept driving.

Put a switch on the strobes so they can be switched off if your not carrying a wide or abnomal load. Having just retired in January and ot renewing my DQCPC and not renewing my vocational licence in January I will not have to contend with idiots who think they can drive but can't. I think its wrong to say all car drivers, there are some good ones.And after driving cars,vans, and lorries for 40 year's there are some bad lorry drivers as well. Love to hear rant though keep making great videos 👍
