Agree with Russ Salo. When I loved the stray cats they had this british almost punk feel
@LouisMovaistone9 жыл бұрын
well, it would be interesting to see them play this tune LIVE. and this version - when a record plays and they just open their mouths standing by the mics - doesn't thrill me so much.

They all look very smart and polished but even though the song is pretty good, they could be anyone. Nothing definable here that sounds like the Stray Cats. Very easy on the eye, though.

This is totally a Dave Edmunds tune, with him doing the back-up vocals and the production....he helped them get their start in Britain in the late 70's...and he's a great guitarist in his own right...Setzer probably did this track as a favour to Dave..

This looks like the last gasp just before they broke up for the last time. Their worldwide fame was fading then & I guess they let themselves get talked into this schlopp - geeze - Brian plays anything non-Gretsch it just looks wrong -I'm the BIGGEST Stray Cats fan but this is bad in so many ways -they even look embarrassed for themselves in the video -

Die haben sich in der Endphase des Schaffens eh immer mehr vom ursprünglichen Rockabilly entfernt. Aber was soll's. Die konnten doch nicht mehr als 30 Jahre immer nur Kamellen wie Rock this Town und Rumble in Brighton spielen. Aber im ZDF Fernsehgarten? Was hat die denn da geritten?
